I can't believe my time as Miss Virginia USA 2021 is coming to a close. On one hand, I feel excited for the next woman who gets to experience this amazing gift. On the other hand, I feel sad. I feel nostalgic for all the moments and opportunities of this year. I feel grateful for all I was able to do and accomplish. I feel thankful for each and every person who reached out to me to offer me help, services, advice, training, sponsorship and encouragement. It's hard to completely encompass my appreciation and gratitude in this small space allotted. But the truth is, even with an unlimited character count or infinite amounts of paper for my words, it would never be enough. This organization changed my life. Pageantry shaped me into the woman I am today, and Miss Virginia USA helped me grow into the type of woman I admired as a little girl. I know it's time to step into the next phase of my life, and I know I am entirely and completely ready thanks to the experiences of this year.

I can't thank everyone enough for following along with my year. Representing Virginia has been the honor of my lifetime. I am still in disbelief that of all the deserving, incredible, beautiful and deserving women in Virginia, I was afforded this opportunity. So, though I am sad, I recognize it's time to share this gift with a new woman. The thought of adding another titleholder to this amazing sisterhood brings me so much joy. With a heart filled with gratitude and contentment.

Just checked my calendar and realized a new Miss Virginia USA will be crowned in just two months!! Where has the year gone?! I’m so excited for all the girls competing this year and for the one who will walk away with the title and opportunity of a lifetime.
