Tue, Jun 20, 2023 Hollywood and Hagerstown: Today is set for Contestants Interviews, Teen MU & DELTA Groups in Morning followed by Miss MU Group in Afternoon and Miss Delta in evening as per order given at the official website Missmd.org. The Miss Maryland 2023 & Miss Maryland’s Teen 2023 Pageant activity started yesterday with Sign-in ceremony complete, rehearsals and as Willing described “All delegates were able to introduce themselves, officially starting Miss Maryland week!” The day ended with Burger King of Hagerstown hosting all contestants.

The Contestant Rachel Spencer, Miss Carroll County’s Teen 2023 said “We had a great time tonight at our sponsored dinner with our Miss Delegates. I’m so excited to spend this week with so many intelligent, talented, and beautiful women! The competition starts tomorrow with one of my favorite phases interview!”

The Reigning Queen Kayla Willing Miss Maryland 2022 will crown her successor, the winner in 25 contestants, as new Miss Maryland 2023 at the end of Grand finale in Pageant Venue The Maryland Theatre, Hagerstown on June 24th 2023 at 7 pm. The New Queen will compete at Miss America 2024 Stage.

At the same stage but on Friday, June 23rd starting at 7pm, Miss MD Outstanding Teen, Princess & Prince Showcase show is scheduled where the Reigning Teen Queen Ryleigh Jackson Miss Maryland's Teen 2022 will crown her successor, the winner in 14 contestants as new Miss Maryland’s Teen 2023 on conclusion of the pageant. The New Queen will compete at Miss America’s 2024 Stage.

Miss Maryland & Miss Maryland’s Teen Competition is set for Wednesday June 21st Prelim 1, Thursday June 22nd Prelim 2, Friday June 23rd Miss Maryland's Teen, Princess & Prince Showcase and Saturday 24th Miss Maryland 2023, at 7PM  on each day in The Pageant Venue The Maryland Theatre, Hagerstown, Maryland.

Maryland is still waiting for its First Miss America Crown and the highest placement, since 1921, was Virginia Cha 1st Runners-up Miss America 1990 but it has lot of other placements and special awards achieved. The Teen Highest Placement, since 1998, was Kate Wills 1st Runners-up Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2022.

Deal Island’s Kayla Willing herself was crowned by Miss Maryland 2021 on Saturday June 25, 2022 at same venue Maryland Theatre Hagerstown. She competed for Maryland at the Miss America 2023 Stage and returned with the Jean Bartel Military Awareness award.

Germantown’s Ryleigh Jackson herself was crowned by Frederick’s Kate Wills Miss Maryland's Outstanding Teen 2021 (Miss Urbana's Outstanding Teen) on Friday June 24, 2022 at the Maryland Theater Hagerstown.
