2019 RI Teen Winner Once Again Takes Crown Home but As Miss RI!!!

Mon, May 22, 2023 Hollywood: The Reigning Queen Abby Mansolillo Miss Rhode Island 2022 has just crowned her successor, the winner against 10 contestants, Miss South Kingstown Caroline Parente as Miss Rhode Island 2023 at the end of Grand Finale in Historic Park Theatre and Event Center, Cranston, Rhode Island on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

Newly crowned Caroline Parente Miss Rhode Island 2023 will represent her RI state at the upcoming 96TH Miss America 2024 where at the end of Grand Finale the reigning queen Grace Stanke Miss America 2023 will crown her successor who emerged winner in 51 contestants as new Miss America 2024. Caroline Parente is the 3rd Entry to The Class of Miss America 2023 after Yamuna Turco Miss Vermont 2023 and Brooke Mills Miss New Hampshire 2023.

The Court of New Queen has Four TOP 5 / Runners-up to Miss RI '23, Alexandria Capolino 1st Runner-up, Lindsey Arruda 2nd Runner-up, Rachel Terceira 3rd Runner-up, and Brianna Deluca 4th Runner-up.

Alexandria Capolino wins the Dance Award Sponsored by Cheryl Girr Mrozowski Miss Rhode Island 1966.

Caroline Parente who competed as Miss South Kingstown is working on Her CSS is InvestHer: Igniting the Power of the Female Entrepreneur. She is from South Kingstown and currently a student at Brown University where she will get Bachelor's degree, Political Science and English in 2024. The RI Organization has revealed Caroline loves the ice cream flavor of chocolate peanut butter cup with whipped cream and peanut butter on top! Caroline Parente was Miss RI’s Outstanding Teen 2019.

She competed at 14TH Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2020 in Orlando, Florida where The preliminary competition was held on July 23-25th and Grand Finale on Saturday, July 27, 2019. Caroline won Non-finalist Evening Wear/On-Stage Question (OSQ) Award representing her state Rhode Island Rhode Island.

New Queen is receiving lot of congratulations. Miss America Rhode Island 2019, Molly Andrade said “SHE DID IT!! Miss Rhode Island 2023 is Caroline Parente!! So proud of this remarkable woman, Rhode Island you’ve got a good one! Next stop.. Miss America.” Photographer Steve Smith has also congratulated. Taylor Parsons is competing at Miss Tennessee 2023 Pageant who said “My sweet Caroline is Miss Rhode Island! She is one of the greatest gifts Miss America’s Teen brought me & to see her get to live out this dream means the world to me! I’m so proud of you, Caroline! You’re going to Miss America!”

The Sign-off Statement by The Reigning Queen Released at The Moment of Crowning Her Successor:

Dear Rhode Island -         
The past 365 + 22 days have tested me, challenged me, and given me room to grow and love. I have hugged children, taken selfies, found myself on a billboard in Times Square, led “let’s go Friars” chants and danced with my sweet teen more times than I can count.         
When I was younger, I always felt like I had so much energy and didn’t know what to do with it. My dad used to say I was like a racehorse, waiting to be let through the gates - and when I was let out, I ran as fast as I could. That is what this experience did for me - I learned how to sprint.         
Being Miss Rhode Island was never about me; it was about leaning into every story I heard, making a child feel like they could conquer the world, and softening people’s hearts.         
I know I succeeded in that.         
Rhode Island - being your girl was the honor and joy of my life.

As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love (2 John 1:5-6).         
I am so excited to walk into this new chapter of my life with love.
