Second day of National Tribal Dance Festival: Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel saw the performance of dancers along with the guests
Dance parties encouraged
Raipur, October 29, 2021: On the second day of the National Tribal Dance Festival this evening, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel along with Speaker of the Assembly Dr. Charandas Mahant and guests witnessed the performance of tribal dancers and encouraged them.
In the competition organized during this festival, the final presentation of the competition based on traditional festivals, rituals, harvesting and other traditional methods was presented by the dance team of Goa, Kunbi dance. The Kunbi dance is based on the social theme of the pre-Portuguese period, which is performed at the Mand or the place of worship. The traditional red colored cotton sari with small square motifs is the dress of Kunbi dance. Female dancers put red flowers in their hair. In Kunbi dance, women dance in a circle with their hands tied, which is called the practice of Fanti. The musical instruments like Ghoomat, Mahadelam, and Kasalem are used during the dance.
This was followed by a performance by a Ugandan dancer. The audience gave full enthusiasm to the dancers.
On this occasion Culture Minister Shri Amarjit Bhagat, Tourism Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Forest Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, Industries Minister Shri Kawasi Lakhma and many public representatives were present in the audience gallery.
