Miss People's Choice is for 58 Miss Texas 2023 Contestant at URL Miss-peoples-choice.html while Teen People's Choice has 49 Miss Texas' Teen 2023 Contestant at URL Teen-peoples-choice.html and 87 Kids for People's Choice / Dollars For Scholars in Lone Star Princess & Star Program at URL Lone-star-princesses.html. Voting Deadline is Thursday, June 29 till 11:59 PM CST.

The 86th annual Miss Texas competition will be held Tuesday, June 27 to Saturday, July 1 at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson.

Preliminary competitions will take place June 27, 28, and 29.

The Miss Texas finals will be Broadcast Live statewide on the Miss Texas Network of television stations, including KTXS-Abilene, KCPN-Amarillo, KBOV- Austin, KBMT-Beaumont, KDF-Corpus Christi, NXAS-COZI-TV-Dallas- Fort Worth, KVIA-El Paso, KRGV 5.3-McAllen, KTXH-Houston, KGNS 8.2-Laredo, KAMC-Lubbock, KWWT-Odessa-Midland, KTXE-San Angelo, KCWX-San Antonio, UXII-Sherman-Ada, KPXJ-Shreveport, KTPN-Tyler-Longview, KAVU-Victoria, KYLE-Waco, and KJBO- Wichita Falls.

The final competition and crowning of Miss Texas' Teen and Miss Texas will take place on July 1. The Teen finals, featuring 47 of the most outstanding Texas teenagers, begins at 1:00 p.m., followed by the Miss Texas competition that evening airing live at 8:00 p.m. This year, 57 women from across the state are vying for the title of Miss Texas, which includes a $20,000 scholarship and the opportunity to represent Texas at the Miss America competition.

Twelve semi-finalists will be named during the televised finals, including two People's Choice winners. People's Choice voting ends on June 29, and votes may be cast online at misstexas.org. The semi-finalists will recompete live in several phases of competition, including on-stage conversation, talent, fitness, and evening gown. The event culminates with the moment when Averie Bishop, Miss Texas 2022, will crown her
successor.

Averie Bishop was the first Asian American woman to represent the Lone Star State. She promotes diversity and inclusion through her community service initiative, "Y'all Means All." Bishop is a first-generation law school graduate of Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law who has nearly one million followers on social media. In addition, she is an international nonprofit CEO, small business owner, and performer.

The Miss Texas Scholarship Organization and The Lone Star Foundation will award over $200,000 in cash and in-kind tuition scholarship. The Miss Texas Organization is affiliated with the Miss America Organization, which is the number one provider of scholarships for women in the world.
