Dhamtari: One lakh 80 thousand 37 people have received vaccine for first dose of Covid 19 so far in the district
Dhamtari 13 May 2021 So far, the first dose of Covid 19 vaccine has been applied to more than one lakh 80 thousand people in the district. This includes one lakh 55 thousand 818 aged over 45 years, health care worker 7214, front line worker 5668 and 11 thousand 337 people aged 18 to 44 years starting from May 1. Significantly, in the district, the first dose of vaccine has been applied to one lakh 55 thousand 818 (97%) people aged above 45 years. These include 35 thousand 560 under Dhamtari Rural, 42 thousand 272 in Kurud, 23 thousand 499 in Magarlod, 37 thousand 308 in Nagri and 17 thousand 179 in Dhamtari Urban. The Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. D.K. Turre has informed that people in the age group of more than 45 years are now being vaccinated for the second dose. Of these, 33 thousand 339 people out of 53 thousand 200 eligible for second dose have been given Kovid 19 vaccine.
