Raipur, 16 September 2021: The students of Prayas Residential School, run by the Department of Tribal Castes, performed brilliantly in the results of the prestigious JEE exam for admission to IITs, NITs and central government-funded engineering institutions declared on Wednesday.

    This year, 395 students from Prayas residential schools appeared for JEE Mains, out of which 178 students were successful. Maximum 73 students have passed from Prayas Boys Residential School, Saddu Raipur. Apart from this, 23 students of Prayas Girls Residential School, Raipur, 21 students of Prayas Residential School Durg, 18 students of Prayas Ambikapur, 16 students of Prayas Bilaspur, 15 students of Prayas Jagdalpur and 12 students of Prayas Kanker have achieved success. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel and Tribal and Scheduled Tribe Development Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam expressed happiness over the excellent examination results of the students of Prayas Residential School and said that the State Government is continuously working to provide better education in Prayas schools. is trying. He said that more meaningful results will be seen in the near future. Secretary of the department Shri D.D. Singh and Commissioner Smt. Shammi Abidi, while congratulating the students on their success, wished them a bright future.

JEE-Advanced on October 3 – All the passed students who have qualified JEE Mains will now be able to appear in JEE-Advanced exam to be held on October 3. The students who qualify in this will get admission in IIT.

It is noteworthy that in the achievement oriented schemes run by the department, this scheme is being implemented for the study and all-round development of the students of Naxal affected areas under the Chief Minister's Child Future Security Scheme. Presently there are three components of this scheme – Faith, Effort and Cooperation. Among these, residential schools are being run in Dantewada district for the children of families affected by Naxal violence under 'Aastha' scheme. Prayas scheme is one of the ambitious components of Mukhyamantri Bal Bhavishya Suraksha Yojana. Under this, 9 efforts are currently being made to provide coaching for JEE (Mains and Advanced), NEET, PET, CLAT, CA, CS etc. along with studies from class 9th to 12th to meritorious students of Naxal affected districts of the state. , Durg, Bilaspur, Surguja, Kanker, Bastar, Korba and Jashpur districts, in which a total of 4 thousand 120 seats are sanctioned.

So far 70 students of Prayas residential schools have got admission in IITs, 221 students in NITs and Triple IT and 772 students in engineering colleges, 39 students in medical colleges.
