Raipur, 27 January 2022: More than 90 lakh 20 thousand 508 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 20 lakh 79 thousand 477 farmers till this evening in 2484 paddy procurement centers of the state in the current season of procurement of paddy on support price in the state of Chhattisgarh. About 85.91 percent of the estimated target of paddy procurement. In lieu of paddy purchase, Rs 16,606.62 crore has been released to farmers under bank linking system. On the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, this year along with the purchase of paddy, fast lifting of paddy for custom milling is also being done. So far 49.58 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted through DO and TO.

Food department officials said that 42 lakh 79 thousand metric tonnes of DO of paddy has been issued. The millers have lifted 37 lakh 36 thousand metric paddy from the procurement centers. Similarly, till now, T.O. for transportation of 17 lakh 77 thousand metric tonnes of paddy. has been issued. Against which 12 lakh 21 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted from the committees.

Rajnandgaon district ranks first in the state in terms of procurement of paddy on support price till January 27. There, more than 7 lakh 76 thousand 697 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. On the other hand, Janjgir-Champa district ranks second in paddy procurement in the state. There 7 lakh 74 thousand 002 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. Mahasamund district is at the third position in the state in the procurement of paddy today. In Mahasamund district, 6 lakh 62 thousand 025 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured.
 
According to the information received from the Food Department till January 27, on support price 1,45,796 MT in Bastar district, 59,102 MT in Bijapur district, 15,673 MT in Dantewada district, 2,78,454 MT in Kanker district, 1 in Kondagaon district. 39,755 MT, Narayanpur district 21,215 MT, Sukma district 41,819 MT, Bilaspur district 4,64,355 MT, Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi district 63,617 MT, Korba district 1,56,744 MT, Mungeli district Paddy was procured 3,69,965 MT, Raigad district 5,02,725 MT, Balod district 4,89,945 MT.

 Similarly, 5,93,737 MT in Bemetara district, 3,88,389 MT in Durg district, 4,04,729 MT in Kawardha district, 3,77,012 MT in Dhamtari district, 3,02,472 MT in Gariaband district, Balodabazar-Bhatapara 6,42,966 MT in Raipur district 4,57,472 MT, Balrampur district 1,80,795 MT, Jashpur district 1,40,596 MT, Korea district 1,24,934 MT, Surguja district 2,08,989 MT and In Surajpur district, 2,36,527 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured.

Two procurement center in-charge suspended for complaining about taking excessive amount of paddy from farmers
Instructions to register FIR against both

Raipur, January 27, 2022: Ashutosh Jaiswal, the procurement in-charge of Masaniyakhurd cooperative society of Sakti development block of Janjgir-Champa district, has been suspended and directed to register an FIR in the complaint of taking more paddy than the prescribed quantity from the farmers. On the instructions of Collector Jitendra Shukla, the Deputy Registrar-in-Charge gave instructions to the Nodal Officer of the District Central Co-operative Bank to suspend Ashutosh Jaiswal and register an FIR. Similarly, in another case, Shivshankar Sahu, the purchase in-charge of Misda cooperative society of Nawagarh development block, was also instructed to suspend the purchase in-charge for taking more than the prescribed quantity of paddy from the farmers and giving pebbles and soiled paddy to the millers under pressure. Huh.

It is worth mentioning that Collector Jitendra Kumar Shukla had given instructions to the Deputy Registrar Co-operative Societies to take action against the accused as per rules. Ashutosh Jaiswal, in-charge of purchase of Masniakhurd Committee by the Deputy Registrar Co-operative Societies in-charge, and Shiv Shankar Sahu, in-charge of Paddy Purchase of Misda Samiti of Nawagarh Development Block, were found to be true after the allegation of buying more paddy than the prescribed quantity was found to be true for the year 2021-22. Due to the contrary, the Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies have been directed to immediately suspend the purchase in-charge Ashutosh Jaiswal and Shiv Shankar and file an FIR against them.
