India's MIG aircraft accident in Jalandhar, Pilot rescued by Chopper

IAF MIG-29 (UPG) Aircraft Accident in Punjab

On 08 May 2020, at 1045h, one Mig-29 aircraft airborne on a training mission from an Air Force base near Jalandhar met with an accident.

The aircraft had developed a technical snag and the pilot ejected safely as he was unable to control the aircraft.

The pilot has been rescued by a helicopter. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of accident.

MIG 29 Fighter Jets was  developed by Russian Mikoyan design bureau as an air superiority fighter in 1970.

Commissioner Ram Kripal of Railway Safety, South Central circle will hold an independent inquiry in todays labourers runover incident in Parbhani-Manmad section of Nanded Railway division of South Central Railway.

Indian Rail Minister Piyush Goyal informed "Today at 5:22 AM, there was sad news of sleeping workers coming down the goods train between Badnapur and Karmad station of Nanded Division. Relief work is going on, and orders for inquiries have been given. I pray to God for the peace of departed souls."
