Government Delegation to Host ‘Study in Gujarat’ Roadshow in Africa from 13th February, 2020

Gujarat News Gandhinagar, Tuesday 12th February, 2020 : After the success of roadshows under ‘Study in Gujarat’ campaign in Dubai and Kuwait, a delegation from the Department of Education will now host roadshows in Africa from 13th February, 2020 to 24th February, 2020. The delegation will be led by Minister of State for Education Smt. Vibhavariben Dave along with Principal Secretary Smt. Anju Sharma.
The delegation will host roadshows and exhibition in Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Mozambique on 13th, 17th, 20th and 24th February, 2020 respectively.34 delegates from 15 prominent universities of Gujarat will be a part of the roadshow and exhibition. These include Ahmedabad University, R.K University, Gujarat Forensic Science University, Charusat University, Parul University, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Marwadi University, Ganpat University, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, IIT-RAM, Gujarat University, MSU, Swarnim Startup and Innovation University, Nirma University and Sankalchand Patel University.
The lead partner for Uganda and Mozambique is Marwadi University while for that for Kenya is Gujarat University andfor Zimbabwe is Parul University.
The roadshows will provide a glimpse of the thriving education sector in Gujarat and enable candidates interested in pursuing higher education in Gujarat to get a first-hand understanding of the rich resources in the state. Representatives from top most universities and colleges from the state will be a part of the delegation in order to provide more details to the interested candidates.

The Department of Education, Government of Gujarat has initiated the ‘Study in Gujarat’ as a part of its efforts to showcase Gujarat as an education hub of India and invite students from abroad to pursue higher education in the state.
In the last decade and a half, Gujarat has been successful in establishing its identity as the leading educational hub of India. State of the art infrastructure, safe environment, curriculum at par with international standards and industry exposure gives students an edge during the course of their study.
It is to be noted here that the delegation will also interact with educators in various countries, and interact with government officials in order to appraise them about the education sector in Gujarat and pave way for successful partnerships and collaborations to realise the meaning of a ‘Knowledge Economy’ in true sense.
