Ambikapur 13 September 2021 / National Deworming Day program was launched on Monday 13 September at the local government urban primary health center Navapara Ambikapur. All the children present on this occasion were given free deworming medicine Albendazole and medicines were provided to Mitanin, ANM, RHO and Anganwadi workers present so that children in all government schools and Anganwadi centers were provided free of cost. Medicines can be given in the next day.
Anil Prasad, Civil Surgeon of the District Hospital said that even after eating quality food, the development of children is slow at times. The main reason for this is worm infection, due to which symptoms like irritability, anger, loss of appetite, fatigue, insomnia and lack of interest in studies are seen in children. All this is due to worm infection, due to which the child becomes weak in reading, his memory power is also weak.
Dr. Amin Firdausi told that one tablet of Albendazole twice a year at an interval of 6 months removes 99 percent worm infection from the body and also removes nutritional deficiency. He requested the parents to participate enthusiastically in this program and make sure all the children are given anti-worm medicines so that a healthy mind can reside in a healthy body and other deadly diseases like filariasis, hiatid cyst can be avoided.
