Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has appealed to the people of the state to observe Chhath Parv by following the Corona Protocol and the Government of India Guidelines. The Chief Minister said that while celebrating the festival, an effort should be made to avoid congestion.
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been issued by the General Administration Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh for organizing religious and other programs in the area outside the Containment Zone, according to which only worshipers will be involved at the Chhath Puja sites. . Organizing committees will have the responsibility of not allowing unnecessary crowds to gather. At Chhath places of worship, it will be compulsory for every person to follow the norms of masks, social and physical distancing and use sanitizer from time to time.
No procession, gathering, rally, cultural program can be organized in Chhath Puja. Eating pan, gutkha, etc. in Chhath places of worship, otherwise spitting will be prohibited. According to the instructions given by the state government, green firecrackers will be allowed to break green (green) crackers in Chhath Puja from 06.00 AM to 08.00 AM. No market, fair, shop etc. will be allowed in Chhath Puja sites. Use of sound amplifying yatras will not be allowed in Chhath places of worship. Young children and elderly, old people will not be allowed to visit Chhath Puja sites.
