Approval for formation of 59 village service cooperative societies in Rajasthan
30 thousand farmers of 17 districts join new village service cooperative societies

Registrar Cooperatives Muktanand Agarwal said on Friday that approval has been issued for the formation of 59 village service cooperative societies in the state. He informed that these new Village Service Cooperative Societies have been formed in 59 gram panchayats of 17 districts. About 30 thousand farmers have joined all these village service cooperative societies.
Shri Aggarwal informed that every village panchayat in the state should have 1 village service cooperative society, efforts are being made constantly by the department towards this goal. With the formation of these new Village Service Cooperative Societies, farmers will get other facilities like loan facility, fertilizer seed, e-friend facility in their Gram Panchayat itself.
The registrar said that 8 in Pratapgarh district, 7-7 in Banswara and Jaipur districts, 6 in Churu, 5 in Tonk, 4-4 in Sirohi and Bundi, 3-3 in Barmer, Rajsamand and Nagaur, 2- in Bikaner and Chittorgarh. 2, 1-1 new Village Service Cooperative Society has been formed in Sikar, Jalore, Ajmer, Alwar and Jhunjhunu districts.
Shri Aggarwal informed that with the formation of Village Service Cooperative Societies, the cooperative structure will be expanded at the Gram Panchayat level. The common people will get the benefit of the facilities provided by the cooperative society. Besides, the member farmers associated with the cooperative society will also get the benefit of the facilities being provided by the committee.
