“fall seven times, stand up eight” 🤍 This was my 7th time competing and as disappointed as I am I know next year I will only come back stronger. I will never give up and I will always strive for more. I have been the girl who’s name wasn’t called. I have been the girl that has been called into just top 15. I have also been the girl called as 3rd runner up three times. These are just numbers. Numbers that do not define my worth. I wanted to be the first woman to walk across the Miss USA stage wearing an insulin pump but with or without a crown I will change the world. Walking away from this weekend with a heart full of gratitude and unforgettable memories with incredible new friends from across the state of Florida. Congrats to the new @missflteenusa @breannaamyles & the new @missflusa @ashleyarlenebarreto who were so deserving it was an honor to share the stage with you both!
Taylor Fulford Miss North Central FL USA 2018: From The Fundraiser Page www.gofundme.com/f/missnorthcentralflusa with $1,700 USD raised of $1,500 goal 18 donations,
My name is Taylor Fulford and I am an official state finalist representing the North Central FL area in the upcoming Miss Florida USA 2018 Pageant that is December 14th-17th. This is my first step in my journey of competing on the nationally televised Miss USA pageant.
I have represented my hometown Okeechobee in the Miss Florida Teen USA 2013 pageant where I placed top 16 out of 75 contestants. Last year I represented Gainesville at the Miss Florida USA 2017 pageant where I placed 3rd runner up out of 60 contestants. This will be my third time competing at Miss Florida USA and I have dedicated myself to my title in hopes to return to the state pageant even more prepared than ever before.
Living with Type 1 Diabetes
I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was 14 years old. This disease does not define who I am, however it is apart of me that I can’t change. Looking at me you wouldn’t know that I take 6 shots of insulin a day. My diagnosis I do not see as an obstacle, but more as a badge of courage. One that I wear proudly thanks to @dexcom! My hope is that my story will inspire others that suffer from an illness, disability, or any other kind of obstacles to pursue their dreams!
I can’t wait to compete for my dream job of becoming the next Miss Florida USA in less than a week! 💖👉👑 #diabetesawareness #dexcomwarrior #missfloridausa
