Ten-day Crafts Bazaar Fair from 12 February: Minister Guru Rudra Kumar will inaugurate
Handicrafts and handloom garments will attract steel town
There will be 75 artists of the country and the state, 15 handicraft and Bunker Samiti the handloom weaver committees of the state are included
Raipur, 11 February 2020 Village Industries Minister Guru Rudrakumar will inaugurate the ten-day Crafts Bazaar Fair to be held in Bhilai on 12 February. The program will be chaired by Durg city MLA Arun Vora. The fair is being organized by the Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board in collaboration with the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The fair will be open to the general public from 11 am to 9 pm till 21 February.
According to information received from departmental officials, the ten-day Crafts Bazaar Fair will be held from February 12 to 21 in front of the Civic Center Bhilai Hotel. Officials said that there was a great demand for handloom garments at Shilpagram of big events like Rajyotsava and National Tribal Festival. These garments were highly appreciated due to being cheap, beautiful and attractive there. About 75 artists of the country and the state and 15 handicrafts and handloom weaver committees of the state are participating in the ten day craft market to be held in Bhilai. The purpose of this exhibition organized by the Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board is to directly connect the people of the state with handicrafts and handloom textiles by giving a market to artists from every corner of the country. In the fair, Chanderi sarees, embroidered, Banarasi zari, Lucknowi chicken, tiger, boutique sari, famous Kosa saris and dress material of Chhattisgarh state, besides Belmattal crafts of Bastar and Raigad along with other attractive artistic craft materials of handicrafts are of special attraction at the fair.
