The Chief Minister, Shri Bhupesh Baghel, while discussing the topic 'Chhattisgarh government-women power ke concern' in the 27th episode of radio talk broadcast from All India Radio today, said that our civilization and culture is recognized only by the respect of women. We all should understand this deeply. He said that a society that respects women is a cultured society. Women are being given full respect in Chhattisgarh. This is the reason that the women and daughters of Chhattisgarh have now set out with a big goal, which no one can stop from moving forward.

Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that we consider the formation of Chhattisgarh state as a historical event. Our forefathers had a perfect picture of their kingdom in their mind. Chhattisgarh has been a people's state for centuries. Here the tradition, festival, in different colors of culture, in respect for its resources, in the nature of its self-respect and identity, which has been faith and reverence for its mother, the same faith has also been towards our land. . What we have learned from our heritage, what we have learned from the song of Vande Mataram, there has been a strong desire to carry it out in our region. Fortunately, we got this opportunity and after the formation of the government, when we searched for a suitable song for it, this song written in Chhattisgarhi by Acharya Dr. Narendra Dev Varma came to mind. 'The river of Arpa Piri is immense, Indravati is the river. In this song, we see the complete image of Chhattisgarh Mahtari. We want to serve Chhattisgarh with this motherly spirit. That's why this song has been made the state song of Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that because of our ancestors, we have got such a constitution, in which women have been given equal status. It is the result of our culture and efforts that the percentage of women in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly is the highest as compared to the other Legislative Assemblies of the country. There is also a provision of 50 percent reservation for women in the elections of Panchayati Raj Institutions. According to the law, women have equal ownership and control over land and property.
The Chief Minister said that we have made many such policy arrangements, in which women should get rights on immovable property. A provision has been made to give 1% exemption in stamp duty on the registration of immovable property in the name of women, due to which more than 50 thousand registrations took place in a year and they got exemption of more than Rs 37 crore. Women have been given the facility of 30 percent reservation for recruitment in government posts. In women's hostels and ashrams, 2 thousand 200 new posts of women's home guards have been created. Women help desks are being operated in 370 police stations of the state. Women's helpline 181 is being operated. Any woman can get help by calling this toll free number 181 from any corner of the state. I would like our sisters to remember this number 181 and seek its help in case of any problem.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that now we are going to constitute women's security cell in every district so that our mothers and sisters get an environment of complete security. 50 percent women's participation has been ensured as Gram Sabha members in the District Mineral Trust Fund Board. For each district to have its own college for women, we have started new women's colleges in 9 districts. With our efforts, the number of daughters in government colleges has become one and a half times that of sons. These unprecedented efforts of Chhattisgarh have also been appreciated by NITI Aayog and Chhattisgarh has been ranked first for gender equality in the India-Index report for the year 2020-21.

Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that many programs are being run for the economic security and self-reliance of women. There is a provision for giving loans to self-help groups by Chhattisgarh Mahila Kosh, an organization run by the Government of Chhattisgarh. Through this institution, loans worth more than 9 thousand 500 crores have been given to about 39 thousand groups. Out of these, 6 thousand 489 women self-help groups had come under the category of defaulters due to non-payment of loans of about Rs 13 crore due to some reason and their way forward was blocked. We decided to rescue 6,489 such groups from distress and waived their loans. Along with this, loans are given to women self-help groups at 3% simple interest rate per annum. we arranged such
