Chhattisgarh Police is taking prompt action in crimes against women. Police are not only arresting the accused immediately in cases of female harassment, but are also punishing the accused by presenting challan soon. The Chhattisgarh Police has set an example across the country to bring justice to the oppressed women. In a rape case in Telibandha police station area of ​​Raipur, the police sentenced the accused to life imprisonment within 30 days. DGP Shri DM Awasthi today conferred the Super Investigator Award to such interpreters who did outstanding work by showing their duty of duty.

It is noteworthy that in one case of rape, the challan was presented to the court within 48 hours of the incident by the Khamtarai police station. The court sentenced the accused to life imprisonment within 45 days, based on the quick deliberation and concrete evidence done by the police. A challan was presented within 2 days in the case of rape in the Mandir Hasaud police station area of ​​Raipur and was sentenced to life imprisonment within 35 days by the court. Similarly, in Bodhghat police station area of ​​Jagdalpur, the girl was sent a challan within 7 days and sentenced to life imprisonment within 45 days in the rape case.
     DGP Shri DM Awasthi has instructed that action should be taken immediately after registering such cases after taking cognizance. In order to get justice for the oppressed women, an immediate challan should be introduced and the culprits should be punished soon. The Chhattisgarh Police has taken innovative initiatives to encourage those who take prompt action. The Super Investigator Award has been instituted for police officers who have taken significant action in cases against women, from registration of cases to punishment. DGP Shri DM Awasthi today awarded the Super Investigator Award to 16 police officers in the same sequence.
Police officers showed readiness in these matters-
    On June 4, 2019, a case was registered under the Poxo Act in connection with the rape of a 7-year-old girl in Janjgir. On December 13, the accused was arrested and a challan was presented in the court on December 23 within ten days. Hearing the case at a fast pace, the court sentenced the accused to 20 years imprisonment within 1 month and 22 days. Inspector Uma Gupta, Assistant Sub Inspector Dilip Singh and Principal constable Rakesh Tiwari were honored in this case.
    At Bodhghat police station in Jagdalpur, the applicant said that on October 21, 2020, along with her 4-year-old daughter, the accused threatened to kill her with indecent act. Seeing the seriousness of the case, the police arrested the accused on October 23 within two days. The police challan was produced in the court within 7 days after deliberation. The accused was punished with imprisonment of 20 years and fine of 10 thousand within 3 months. Inspector Rajesh Marai, Assistant Sub Inspector Indu Sharma, constable Bhanupratap Korram, constable Bisni Dhruv, constable Reena Anant were honored for their outstanding work by the investigating team in the case.
    A challan was presented to the court within two days in the case of rape from a girl child by Divya Sharma, a sub-inspector of Mana police station of Raipur. After which the accused was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment after conviction by the court. In April 2019, the victim informed about the said incident in Balgriha. After informing the police by the Balgruh, the police took immediate action and submitted the challan to the court within two days after the investigation. Which led to quick justice for the victim. Sub-Inspector Divya Sharma was honored for promptly providing justice to the victim by showing readiness.

The case came to light under the temple Hassaud police station in Raipur that the grandfather of a 4-year-old victim girl had committed indecent acts. The matter was discussed with the police. The challan was presented in the court within just two days with solid evidence by the police. In view of the sensitivity of the case by the court, the accused were punished with imprisonment of 20 years and fine of 50 thousand within 35 days. Sub-Inspector Divya Sharma was honored for providing speedy justice.
    In Telibandha police station area of ​​Raipur in February 2019, the victim's mother informed that her one and a half year old daughter was called home and raped on the pretext of playing. In order to provide justice to a woman belonging to a very poor family, the police arrested soon and presented the challan within 6 days. The accused was convicted by the court within 25 days and punished with a sentence of 20 years and a fine of Rs 50,000. Sub-inspector Divya Sharma and constable Sheetal Bisen were honored for taking prompt action.
    A case of rape of a minor came to light in Rawabhatha area of ​​Khamtarai police station in Raipur. The police immediately registered a case. The police presented the challan within 48 hours of the incident and got the punishment awarded after a 10-day trial from the court. Inspector Sanjay Rathore, Sub Inspector Ajay Jha, constable Aditya Pratap Singh, constable Vikas Chauhan and constable Manohar Ganjir were honored for prompt action in the matter.
