Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has issued a corona appeal to the people of the state.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said in the Corona appeal:
Dear brothers and sisters,
Today, humanity is facing the biggest crisis. Every person's contribution in this battle is important. You are leaving your livelihood, happiness and convenience and fighting like a soldier in this war, I express my heartfelt gratitude for this.
Many thanks to all of you for accepting our appeal to stay home to escape Corona. We have yet to remain in lockdown for 21 days. This lockdown is very important for the protection of life of you and your family. I request you again to understand the seriousness of the situation and follow the lockdown.
In the event of lockdown, the items of need for all are being arranged on a war footing. You do not panic in any way. All the things and medicines of everyday need should be easily available in the market, it has also been fully arranged. It is our resolve that hungry stomach will not let anyone sleep and their life will not worry about it in any way. Therefore, we have decided that two-month items from ration shops will be given free of cost to poor families.
For those who are homeless, food should be arranged through gram panchayats, urban bodies, gurudwaras and local social service organizations. For this, I appeal all the competent people and organizations to cooperate. I have instructed all the District Collectors to establish a 24 C7 Special Branch for this work in the Collectorate.
All the District Collectors should also issue a help line number in their respective districts and make it widely publicized so that people can seek help in case of any problem. In times of crisis, the role of media is very important for giving correct information. I have also instructed all the Collectors and Superintendents of Police to ensure that media persons do not face any hindrance in their work. All arrangements are being made by the state government to help every needy. At the same time, there is an appeal to the general public and organizations working in various fields to donate to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund with a free hand. Record your contribution and participation.
I once again appeal to you to take all safety measures like distance of one meter and cleaning of hands with all your heart. Those who have returned from abroad should immediately report this to local administration or toll free number 104. The state government has made all arrangements for investigation and treatment and is fully prepared to deal with every situation. Care should be taken of children, elderly and women. I appeal to young colleagues to help bring awareness to home and society by adopting as much security as possible. As soon as you get news of someone's trouble, inform the administration and find a way out what you can help.
I firmly believe that we will all fight and win against Corona.
