North Bastar Kanker 11 June 2021 Col Uday Kumar T, the newly appointed District Sainik Welfare Officer of Kanker district, assumed charge on June 10. Collector Shri Chandan Kumar handed over the charge to the newly appointed District Sainik Welfare Officer. It is noteworthy that Colonel Uday Kumar T was serving in the Indian Army for 35 years. Former District Sainik Welfare Officer Col CMS Babu, office staff including retired officers were present during the taking charge.

Sukma, 26 June 2020 Industry Minister Kawasi Lakhma at Sukma's Circuit House in a simple ceremony benefited the beneficiaries from the schemes of the Labor Department.

A total amount of Rs seven lakh six thousand was disbursed to 51 beneficiaries under Bhagini Maternity Assistance Scheme and 14 beneficiaries under Vishwakarma General Death Assistance Scheme.

Checks were provided to 8 beneficiaries of female maternity aid and 1 beneficiary of Vishwakarma General Death Assistance.

Financial assistance given to victims of Naxal violence and their families

Sukma, 27 April 2020 - Sukma Collector Chandan Kumar sanctioned financial assistance of INR 5 Lakh to the families of Madvi Bhima, Karatam Nanda and Madavi Sukka of Dabbakonta who were killed in Naxalite violence.

Financial assistance of Rs 15 lakh was given to the families of the three villagers killed in Naxal violence. Along with this, three lakh rupees were also helped in lieu of the property damaged by the Naxalites.
