Daja Dial Davidson is Named Executive Director of the Miss South Carolina Teen Organization

Top 7 Miss America 2016 and Miss South Carolina 2015 is now appointed Executive Director as Miss SC Teen

Thu, Mar 30, 2023: Today Miss South Carolina Organization has revealed, Daja Dial Davidson is named the official Executive Director of the Miss South Carolina Teen Organization. After a year of serving in the interim position, Daja brings a wealth of skills, knowledge, and passion for this role.

Daja has a passion for empowering young women and has seen first-hand the benefits of participating in the organization. She is excited to continue the program's tradition of empowering young teens and helping them grow and develop as leaders, all while taking the organization to new heights.

Daja has an impressive background in the organization and has held several key roles throughout her career. The Spartanburg native received her B.A. from Clemson University and her MBA from Louisiana State University Shreveport. Dial is a native of Jonesville, South Carolina, and a 2011 graduate of Paul M. Dorman High School in Roebuck, South Carolina. Her father is Darrell Dial and her mother is Annette Goodwin. She lives in Seneca. She herself tells about hers "Experienced Marketing Communications Specialist and Multimedia Journalist, skilled in public speaking, social media, writing, shooting, and editing. Clemson University graduate and MBA candidate, with a demonstrated history of experience in Marketing and Sports and Media as a manager, reporter, TV host, and radio personality."

In 2015, Daja was crowned the 79th Miss South Carolina and went on to be a top-seven finalist for the title of Miss America. She was born Daja Breyon Dial on Monday, March 22, 1993 in Greenville. She is Clemson University Major: Women's Leadership.

Daja now works for Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative (BREC), leading the marketing division for Upcountry Fiber, BREC’s broadband company. Additionally, She and her husband, CJ Davidson, former Clemson football player and track & field athlete, own Tempo Sports Academy, a youth sports-performance training facility. In the Fall, you can also hear Daja hosting the Tiger Tailgate Show for Clemson Football on the Clemson Athletic Network.

In Spring 2022, Daja stepped into the role of Interim Executive Director of the Miss South Carolina Teen program. After over a decade of involvement with the Miss South Carolina and Miss America Organizations, she will continue to serve and guide, alongside an accomplished committee, Miss South Carolina Teen as she prepares for the Miss America’s Teen competition and beyond.
