Raipur, 09 June 2021 Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that the Dharsa Vikas Yojana will soon be started in the state for convenient access to the farmers to their fields. He said that a new avenue of income was opened for the farmers by linking the Chief Minister's Tree Plantation Scheme with the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. In a virtual program organized at his residence office today, the Chief Minister inaugurated 1430 works in Balodabazar-Bhatapara and Mahasamund districts costing about Rs 565 crore and performed bhoomi pujan. He dedicated 1172 works costing Rs 295 crore for Balodabazar district and 258 works costing Rs 270 crore for Mahasamund district and performed Bhoomi Pujan.

The Chief Minister said that even though the construction work was affected a little at the time of lockdown, but more important work than that, we continued with full force. Through various schemes of the state government, work was done with full force to save the poor, farmers, laborers and villagers from hunger, unemployment and worry about the future. Last year too, free rice was arranged for the poor during the lockdown. This year, arrangements for free rice for the months of May and June have already been made, now rice for five months will be given free of cost from July to November. Additional rice will also be distributed to all ration card holders equivalent to Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana.

The Chief Minister said that the development works which were affected by the first and second wave of Corona will now be completed with full speed. It has started after the wave of Corona weakened, yesterday in Durg and Balod districts, works costing about Rs 700 crore were inaugurated and Bhumi Pujan. On the demand of Shri Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Chairman of Textbook Corporation, on the demand of Shri Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Chairman of Textbook Corporation in Balodabazar-Bhatapara and Mahasamund district, he sanctioned Rs.6 crore for construction of pucca road including a bridge from village Pahanda in Balodabazar district to Raipur via Limahi and Balodabazar. I assured to give approval of 20 lakh rupees for the construction of the building after allotment of land for the construction of community building for typical Yadav community.

The Chief Minister said that despite the adverse circumstances of the Corona period, the State Government was working in the interest of all sections including the poor, farmers, laborers and tribals. Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana worked to remove the despair of the farmers. The installments of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana continued to reach the accounts of the farmers whenever they needed them in the agricultural works. Last year, an amount of Rs 5628 crore was sent directly to the accounts of 19 lakh farmers in four installments under this scheme. Now expanding the scope of this scheme, along with paddy and sugarcane, tur, maize, kodo, kutki, soybean, pulses and oilseeds have also been included.

CM Baghel said that in the time of Corona crisis, Godhan Nyay Yojana has given great support to the farmers and livestock farmers. So far, more than Rs 95 crore has been paid to the dung vendors for the purchase of cow dung. During the last lockdown, Chhattisgarh has been the top state in the country in providing employment in MNREGA works. This year also, in MNREGA, 25 percent of the target of the year has been completed in two months. During the entire Corona period, the work of collection of minor forest produce in forest dwelling areas was done with full speed, in this too Chhattisgarh topped in the whole country. Still, the collection of minor forest produce is being done at a fast pace. During the program, the Chief Minister discussed with Godhan Nyay Yojana, Chief Minister's Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme, women of self-help groups, beneficiaries of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and children of Swami Atmanand English Medium School in both the districts.

The program organized at Balodabazar was presided over by the Health Minister and the Minister in charge of the district, Shri T.S. Singhdeo and Mahasamund's program was presided over by Industries Minister and Minister in charge of Mahasamund, Mr. Kawasi Lakhma. While addressing the program, Health Minister Mr. Singhdeo said that despite the challenge of Corona, the wheel of development of the state did not stop under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. Industries Minister Shri Kawasi Lakhma said that Chhattisgarh is the first government in the country and the world to buy cow dung.

Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu urged the public representatives to continuously monitor the ongoing construction works in the state. Along with this, to provide employment to more and more unemployed youth, they have been asked to register their e-category. He said that under e-category registration, work up to a maximum of Rs 50 lakh would be given in all construction departments. Mr. Sahu also told the officers that one engineer should be necessarily engaged in each tender. A provision has been made to give Rs 15,000 to diploma holder engineer, Rs 25,000 to degree holder and Rs 50,000 to master degree holder.

Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that the State Government is fulfilling the promise made by us. School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam said that Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools have been started to provide quality education to the children of poor families in English medium. Health Engineering Minister Shri Guru Rudrakumar informed that a group water scheme costing Rs 60 crore has been approved for Giroudpuri Dham. Under which pure drinking water will be supplied to 23 villages falling on the way from the river to Giroudpuri including Giroudpuri Dham. He said that by the year 2023, water would be supplied to all villages of the state by giving free tap connections from door to door. MPs and MLAs present in Balodabazar and Mahasamund also addressed the program.
