Congratulated CM Baghel on Ranked second in the ranking of popular chief ministers
Raipur, 07 June 2020 Representative of various industrial organizations from Bhilai, Durg, Rajnandgaon and Bilaspur met courtesy meeting with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office here today. He congratulated Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on getting second place in the ranking of popular Chief Ministers of the country and congratulated him.
Recently, a nationwide survey was conducted by a reputed organization about the work of Chief Ministers and their image among the public. In which Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel came second in the list of popular chief ministers.
On this occasion, representatives of industrial organizations said that Chhattisgarh has become proud due to this achievement of Chief Minister Baghel.
The delegation praised the state government for its industry and business friendly policies and efforts made for prevention of corona infection. The delegation said that the industries of the sector have been encouraged by the policies of the state government to give priority to government procurement of the finished products by the small, micro and medium industries of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has decided to purchase such products of companies which are not ready in Chhattisgarh, in order to promote trade in the state, if they are needed in government procurement, they will buy those products from the companies' distributors located in Chhattisgarh.
On the request of the delegation, Chief Minister Baghel assured to initiate a long term pricing policy for iron ore from NMDC for sponge iron industries of Chhattisgarh and to take initiative in the supply of five million tonnes of iron ore to sponge iron industries of Chhattisgarh.
The Chief Minister said that to prevent corona infection during the operation of industries, the Guidelines of the Central and State Government should be strictly followed. Separate arrangements should be made for the stay of drivers and cleaners of trucks carrying goods from outside to the industries and they should be kept away from contact with the workers of the industries.
The delegation said that due to the efforts of the state government, the price of iron ore from NMDC has come down, but due to their complex policies, the price keeps increasing every month, if there is a provision for pricing for a long period. So there will be ease in operating the industry.
Thanked the Chief Minister for the announcement of land free hold made by the state government in the interest of industries and urged to implement it soon.
The delegation thanked Chief Minister Baghel for initiating government procurement through CSIDC in place of Gem Portal, and also requested that large plants in Chhattisgarh import their essential commodities produced by the state's small scale industries. Do not use outside and use only Chhattisgarh manufactured products, this will help industries of Chhattisgarh.
The delegation apprised the poultry industry about the losses incurred during the lockdown.
The representative associated with rice bran oil production said that the best quality rice bran oil is made in Chhattisgarh, it can be given international recognition with the cooperation of the government.
