Women's Day is celebrated daily in Chhattisgarh: women ahead in corona vaccination
Raipur 7 March 21
Chhattisgarh is celebrating Women's Day every day in the war against Corona. In the war since Kovid 19, women have not only worked with men on every front, but have also worked ahead of them on many fronts. Whether it is a doctor as a female health worker or an ANM or a Mitananin, a scavenger, a vaccinator deployed for the Kovid vaccine, everyone has done their job well. More than 700 women vaccinators are installing Corona vaccines across the state. More than 5000 ANMs are engaged in regular vaccination campaign of children.
Apart from this, health care workers and front line workers were vaccinated in the first phase in the corona vaccination campaign started from 16 January 2021 in the state, while in the second phase, senior citizens above 60 years and those aged 45 to 59 years were vaccinated. Are being vaccinated who are suffering from any other diseases. If we look at the statistics of Kovid vaccination (both first and second dose) in the state, the participation of women in the war against Kovid in Chhattisgarh is more than that of men.
While 2 lakh 54 thousand 565 men have been vaccinated in the state, up to 2 lakh 59 thousand 489 women have been vaccinated. If we look at the figures of the Government of India, 85 lakh 45 thousand 683 men and 69 lakh 93 thousand 594 women have been vaccinated.
If we look at the figures of 1.55 crore Kovid hinges done by the Government of India, only 45% of the women have been hinged. While in Chhattisgarh, 50.47% women have been covered by 5.14 lakh Kovid hinges.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, free breast screening facility has also been provided to women in the surgery department of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Raipur.
