Raigad, July 14, 2021 In the National Horticulture Mission plan year 2021-22, physical targets have been achieved for the implementation of various components of area expansion, which have been divided into block wise. For example, tomato, brinjal, cabbage, sweet potato are included under vegetable area expansion, coriander and chili under spice area and marigold and gerbera under flower area expansion.
To take advantage of the above mentioned vegetable, spice, flower and medicine area expansion scheme, 51 percent for general category, SC-34 percent and SC-ST. 15 percent has been earmarked for. It is necessary for the farmers to have assured irrigation facility throughout the year and farmers can be benefitted for minimum 0.25 hectare area.

The farmers will be selected for the implementation of the scheme on the basis of 'first come-first serve'. Under the scheme, the farmers benefited for the last three years will not be able to get benefitted in this year. Farmer Registered Institutions viz.
