Raipur. 26 January 2022: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel gave many gifts to the people of the state on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day today. He made many new announcements during his message to the people of the state after hoisting the flag at Jagdalpur, the district headquarters of Bastar. He announced to make a practical, simple and transparent law this year for the regularization of irregular building construction. Many citizens will be directly benefited by this and they will be able to make a living and employment with self-respect by regularizing the construction done by their hard work. He also announced to make necessary provisions for the regularization of business activities conducted in residential areas so that thousands of businessmen can conduct their business with confidence.

In his Republic Day speech, Chief Minister Shri Baghel announced to release the building construction up to 500 square meters without any human intervention in such areas outside the municipal corporation in the state, which are included in the investment area. He said that 'Direct Building Permit System' has been started in municipal corporations without human intervention in buildings up to 500 square meters.

He also announced to provide tap connections in a time-limit by making the process of obtaining tap connections in urban bodies free from human intervention on the lines of 'Direct Building Permission'.

The Chief Minister also announced freeholding of government leased lands in rural areas. He said that the government had decided to free hold the pattas located on abadi, nazul and slum in urban areas, thereby giving the citizens the right of land owner. Now it will be implemented in rural areas also.
The Chief Minister announced to reserve ten percent of the land for this category by amending the industrial policy to promote entrepreneurship among the other backward classes. This plot will be made available at the rate of ten percent of the land premium rate and one percent of the land rent.

In view of the success of Mukhyamantri Urban Slum Health Scheme, he announced to expand it to all the urban bodies of the state.

Baghel announced simplification of the process of making learning license for the convenience of the youth. For this, 'Transport Facilitation Centers' will be started on a large scale. These centers will not only be authorized to make learning licenses, but in these centers all the services related to the transport department will be available to the citizens near their residence and the youth of the state will get employment opportunities.

Chief Minister Baghel also made two announcements in the interest of government employees. The contribution of the State Government under the Employees' Contributory Pension Scheme will be increased from 10 percent to 14 percent.

He announced to work on 5 working days per week system to increase the work efficiency and productivity of the employees.

Reiterating his commitment to the safety of women, the Chief Minister announced the formation of 'Women Safety Cells' in every district. He also announced to start a state level archery academy in Jagdalpur in the name of 'Shaheed Gundadhur' to encourage archery.

The Chief Minister announced the simplification of the law related to it in the interest of citizens in view of the complexity of the rules for felling trees and the disinterest of the citizens in plantation due to it. He said that necessary amendments would be made in all relevant Acts and Rules for this.

He also announced that pulses crops like moong, urad, tur etc. would be purchased at minimum support price from the upcoming Kharif year 2022-23.

He announced the launch of 'Mukhyamantri Noni Sashaktikaran Sahayata Yojana' to help in education, employment, self-employment and marriage of daughters of labor families. Under this scheme, a lump sum amount of 20-20 thousand rupees will be paid in the bank account of the first two daughters of the beneficiaries registered in 'Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board'.

Along with this, the Chief Minister also announced the opening of 'Chief Minister Shramik Resource Center' at all district headquarters and block level and ITIs in each development block.
