Income limit raised 5 times for pension of Chinhari registered litterateurs and artists

Keeping in mind the interests of the economically weak writers and artists of the state, the state government has increased the income limit fixed for them by up to five times. This will now benefit well-known and financially weak artists and litterateurs.

Raipur, 23 September 2021: The Department of Culture provides financial assistance to the eminent and economically weak writers and artists of the state under the pension scheme 2007, to the artists-literatures of the age of 60 years or more.

Under the scheme, litterateurs and artists whose age was more than 60 years and annual income was fixed to be 14 thousand 400 for a single member of the family, 18 thousand rupees for two members and 24 thousand rupees for three or more than three members. Now after publication in Chhattisgarh Gazette on September 10, 2021, the annual income limit of litterateurs and artists of the state is 72 thousand rupees for a single member of the family, one lakh 44 thousand rupees for two members and 2 lakh for three or more members. 16 thousand has been increased to Rs. Under the scheme, registered litterateurs and artists in Chinhari will be benefited.
