Raipur, 1 August 2021:  Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has directed P.V. Sindhu on winning the bronze medal in the Badminton event of Tokyo Olympics 2020 today. The Chief Minister said that P.V. Sindhu has made the country proud with her achievement. PV Sindhu today gave the country its second medal in the Tokyo Olympics by performing brilliantly. Sindhu had earlier won a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

    Indian shuttler PV Sindhu won the bronze medal by defeating Chinese player Bing Xiao on the 10th day of Tokyo Olympics. PV Sindhu is the first Indian female athlete to win two medals in an individual event at the Olympic Games. Earlier, Sindhu had created history by winning a silver medal at the Rio Olympics 2016.
