Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India,, Sunday, July 4, 2021: A courtesy call on Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel was paid by the Secretary General of the Indian Olympic Association, Mr. Rajeev Mehta at his residence office here this evening. Mr. Mehta handed over the invitation letter to Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel to attend the 32nd Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo, Japan from July 23 to August 8, as the Dignitary of the Indian Olympic Association. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel gladly accepted the Tokyo Olympics invitation and while congratulating and wishing all the players representing India in the 32nd Olympics, he hoped that our players would take part in the Olympic Games with full enthusiasm and hoist the Indian flag. The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh Olympic Association General Secretary Shri Gurcharan Singh Hora will represent Chhattisgarh in Tokyo Olympics. Appreciating the efforts being made for the development of sports activities under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Mr. Mehta said that many important sports events will be organized in Chhattisgarh in the coming days. Shri Gurcharan Singh Hora informed the Chief Minister regarding the election of the new executive committee of the Union Club involved in the development of sports in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel congratulated and extended best wishes to all the members including the president of the newly formed union club, Mr. Hora. The CEO of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association, Mr. Bashir Ahmed Khan and treasurer, Mr. Sairam Jakhad were present on the occasion.
