In block-level higher secondary schools students will get employment-oriented professional education by coordinating with ITI: Instructions to district collectors to work soon by preparing action plan

Raipur, 03 June 2020 The Government of Chhattisgarh has decided to establish such vocational courses in higher secondary schools located at the block level in the state by coordinating with the ITIs to connect students with employment. According to the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the vocational course is to be started from this education session. In this regard, Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Dr. Alok Shukla has instructed all the collectors to prepare action plans and ensure prompt action.

Collectors have been asked to organize a joint meeting of higher secondary schools and ITI principals at the block level, in which important industries of the block should also be invited. In this meeting, it should be assessed that there is more possibility of employment than training in which trades there locally. District collectors have been instructed to select two or three such trades for each development block.

Collectors have been asked to inspect the buildings of the Higher Secondary School and ITI at the Block Headquarters and assess whether the trades selected have adequate space, laboratory, equipment and human resources available in the school or ITI. Along with the requirement of renovation and additional construction of the building and lab, the complete work plan of the necessary equipment and appropriate trainers etc. for training of selected trades should be prepared.

Principal Secretary School Education has apprised the district collectors that the preparation of detailed syllabus is being done by State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT) and Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education.
