Jashpurnagar: Guidelines issued for Chhath Puja: Covid-19 rules must be complied with, Sub-divisional officer to allow Chhath Pooja Vidhi

Collector Shri Mahadev Kavre has issued guidelines keeping in view the corona transition in Chhath Puja. Under which the Mahaparva Chhath Puja of the folk faith has been advised to pay obeisance at their own homes instead of performing pooja at rivers, ponds and sites. The person carrying the daura or soup in the head at the Chhat Ghat venue or any person from the committee will not go without a mask and it will be mandatory to keep a distance of 2 meters between the daura or soup to be installed at the venue.
He told that it will be mandatory to register the fasting strips of Chhath Puja. For the information of the fast holders, registration will be done in front of Maharaja Check Abhishek Enterprises on November 20 from 10 am. To perform Puja at Chhath places of worship, a maximum of three people can join with a fasting stripe. To celebrate Chhath festival, mass procession will be completely banned. No Prasad distribution or any food and beverage or any other food items will be allowed at the Chhat Ghat venue. It will be compulsory to observe a distance of two yards while worshiping at the Chhat Ghat or venue. Only one sound amplifier will be used at the Chhat Ghat or venue. The directions of the devotees will be given by the members of the committee. Any other sound amplifier DJ playing and cultural program will be banned.
Shri Kavre informed that entry of people over 60 years of age and children below 10 years at Chhat Ghat or scheme site will be completely banned. It will be mandatory to follow the venue and time fixed by the municipality for organizing Chhath Mahaparva of public faith. Atish Baji will be completely banned this year at Chhat Ghat. The municipality has been directed to clean the Chhat Ghat or the venue and the main road of the city. Police Assistance Center will be established from the security point of view. In addition to the above conditions, it will be mandatory to follow the guidelines or advisory issued by the Government of India and the state and if found violating the above, action will be taken as per rules. In order to maintain law and order at the venue of Chhat Ghat, the Subdivisional Officer Revenue, Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar have been ordered.
Collector and District Magistrate Shri Mahadev Kavre has appointed a subdivisional officer of the respective development block to provide permission for Chhath Puja in all the development blocks of the district on the occasion of Chhath festival in Jashpur district. He said that during this time it will be mandatory to follow all the guidelines issued by the Government of India and the State for the prevention and control of Kovid-19. If a violation of the above instructions is found, the entire responsibility will be with the Chhath Puja Committee and action will be taken against them according to the Indian Penal Code, and other relevant laws.
