Josie Nicholas is CROWNED Miss Pacific Islands 2023
The Longest Reigning Miss Pacific Islands 2019 Fonoifafo Nancy McFarland-Seumanu has just crowned the winner against 4 Contestants, Miss Papua New Guinea Josie Nicholas as Miss Pacific Islands 2023 at the end of Grand Finale in Gym 1, Tuanaimato Sports Complex, Apia, Samoa / American Samoa today on Fri, Feb 3, 2023 starting at 6PM.
Josie Nicholas Miss Pacific Islands 2023 passed many phases of competition including Pre-pageant interview. The Miss Papua New Guinea’s Topic presentation was on ‘Education’ after which three questions were asked by the esteemed Judges.

As we have stepped into the new year we are turning over a new leaf, welcoming two thousand and twenty three with positivity, love, joy and blessings.
2022 was a journey for all of us. I'd like to thank everyone who stuck by me through the highs and lows and always reminded me to be true to myself and be kind. I am humbled by this growth and grateful for the experience, the people whom I have met that impacted my life in a positive way, the lessons learned and memories made. Thankyou for making my 2022 special.
Id like to remind us all that challenges, change and growth are inevitable. Let us all let go of the past woes and sorrows, embrace the experiences and welcome blessings and opportunities that the new year brings and grow with open hearts and minds.
Thank you to Gemini Jewellers for designing and sponsoring our pageant necklaces for my pageant sisters and I. I especially love my Gold Bird of Paradise Pendant. Seeing this Bird of Paradise reminds me of the task at hand for me at the Regional Pageant in Samoa. It is a humbling honour to represent my country.
