Chief Minister paid tribute to Late Shri Bisahu Das Mahant by garlanding and Inscemts Sticks his portrait on his death anniversary.
Raipur, 23 July 2021: Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel paid tribute to freedom fighter and popular politician Late Shri Bisahu Das Mahant on his death anniversary on 23rd July by garlanding his portrait at his residence office. Forest Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar was also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said on this occasion that the whole life of Late Shri Bisahu Das Mahant was associated with public service. Shri Mahant rendered his invaluable services for the development of the state as MLA and Minister in undivided Madhya Pradesh. Hasdeo Bango Irrigation Project is the realization of his dreams. He carried out the works of agriculture, irrigation and roads in the area for the betterment of the people. Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that according to the ideals of Late Shri Bisahu Das Mahant, the State Government is committed for the construction of New Chhattisgarh. By following the path of public welfare, work is being done to give new dimensions to the development in the state.
On July 23, the Chief Minister will participate in the taking over of the chairman of the District Co-operative Central Bank Bilaspur.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will attend the taking over of the President of District Co-operative Central Bank Bilaspur, Shri Pramod Nayak, to be held in Bilaspur through video conferencing from his residence office at 2:00 PM today.
Chief Minister greets the people of the state on Guru Purnima
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Guru Purnima. In his message issued on Guru Purnima, the Chief Minister has said that there is a tradition of celebrating Guru Purnima in India on the day of Ashadh Purnima, the incarnation day of Maharishi Ved Vyas, the author of Mahabharata and Vedas. This special day is a great festival to show faith, respect and gratitude towards the guidance and invaluable knowledge of our beloved Guru. Shri Baghel said that Guru has been given the highest position in Indian culture. He has been called the veritable Parabrahma because he removes the darkness of ignorance and leads him towards the light of knowledge. The Chief Minister said that Gurujans play an important role in taking life in the direction of progress by showing the right path. On the holy day of Guru Purnima, we should move forward with the resolve to take the invaluable teachings of the Gurus in our lives and take its positive impact to maximum people.

On the 43rd death anniversary of the state's freedom fighter, soft-spoken, popular politician and former minister of undivided Madhya Pradesh, Late Shri Bisahu Das Mahant, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Dr. Charandas Mahant, Revenue Minister and Minister in charge of the district, Shri Jaisingh Agrawal, at BDM Garden, District Headquarters Janjgir, today. State Cow Service Commission Chairman Dr. Mahant Ramsunder Das, Chandrapur MLA Mr. Ram Kumar Yadav, Collector Mr. Jitendra Kumar Shukla, SP Mr. Prashant Kumar Thakur and other public representatives present garlanded his statue and paid tribute to him. On this occasion, at BDM Garden Janjgir, the famous Kabir Bhajan singer Shri Bharti Bandhu presented the rendition of beautiful, melodious hymns based on the sakhis of Kabirdas ji. Assembly Speaker Dr. Mahant paid homage by garlanding the statue of Late Shri Bisahu Das Mahant at Tapsi Baba Udyan in Champa Kerajharia before the tribute ceremony and planted a tree in the courtyard.
Under the scheme of Social Welfare Department, motorized tricycle and hand operated tricycle were provided to 11 differently-abled persons in the programme. Under the National Family Assistance Scheme, checks of Rs. 20 thousand each were given to Smt. Pramila Goyal and Smt. Lalita Bai Kenwat. Under the Disabled Higher Education Promotion Scheme, a check of 6-6 thousand rupees was given to 5 students. On this occasion, Lormi MLA Shri Dharamjit Singh, Member State Women's Commission Smt. Shashikanta Rathore, District Panchayat President Smt. Yanita Chandra, District Panchayat Vice President Shri Raghvendra Pratap Singh, Municipality Janjgir-Naila President Shri Bhagwan Das Gadhewal, Councilor Shri Vivek Sisodia, Shri Prince Sharma, Smt. Seema Sharma, Shri Ramvilas, former MLA Shri Motilal Devagan, including a large number of dignitaries and public representatives were present.
