Republic Day Celebrations-2020 - Lt Governor hoists tricolor at UT level R-Day function

Jammu, January 26: Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu hoisted the tricolour at the Union Territory level function on the occasion of the 71st Republic Day, at the Maulana Azad Stadium here in Jammu this morning.

The Lt Governor inspected the parade and took the salute at an impressive march past which was commanded by Col. RK Sharma, SM of 5th Battalion J&K Light Infantry (JAK LI).

The smart contingents participating in the Parade were from the Army, BSF, CRPF,SSB, women contingent of the JKAP, JKAP/IRP, J&K Police, Disaster Response Force, 2nd Battalion Jammu, J&K Fire and Emergency Services, J&K Forest Protection Force, Excise Department, ex-Servicemen, NCC Boys and Girls, Bharat Scouts and Guides (Girls & Boys) , Boys and Girls from various schools and Bands of Army, BSF, J&K Police, Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police and of several Boys and Girls Schools.

A multihued cultural spectacle based on national integration and the glorious composite heritage of J&K was presented by several hundred students from various local schools on this occasion.

Earlier, the Lieutenant Governor visited the Balidan Stambh and paid homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the honour of the country. He laid wreath at the memorial at Balidan Stambh.

Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Ahmed Khan was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Mayor, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Junaid Azim Mattoo, GOC 15 Corps, KJS Dhillon, IGP, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary, SSPs, PRIs and BDC Chairpersons besides other senior officers attended the function .

The ‘At Home’ was also attended by former legislators, serving and retired senior Civil, Police, officers, media persons and prominent citizens from all walks of life.

71st Republic Day: ARC unfurls tricolour at JK House

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 26- The Additional Resident Commissioner (ARC), Jammu and Kashmir Government, Niraj Kumar unfurled the National Flag on 71st Republic Day at Jammu and Kashmir House, 5-Prithvi Raj Road, New Delhi here today.

A contingent of J&K Armed Police presented the Guard of Honour on the occasion. The ceremonial function was attended by all the officers of Jammu and Kashmir posted at New Delhi.

Congratulating the participants on this occasion, the ARC said that this is an event to remember the martyrs and freedom fighters for their sacrifices. He stressed on the need for maintaining the unity and integrity of the country. He said that this marks the day when e India’s Constitution came into effect, and the country became a republic.

A colourful cultural Programme was also presented on the occasion and a drawing competition was also held in which many children took part.

Later, Additional Resident Commissioner interacted with the officers/officials of J&K House and gave away special gifts and commendation certificates to all the participants.

71st Republic Day celebrated across Jammu Division

JAMMU JANUARY 26, 2020: 71st Republic Day celebrated in all districts of Jammu Division with great enthusiasm and nationalism.

AT POONCH: 71st Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and high enthusiasm. Principal District and Session Judge was the chief guest on the occasion.

DDC Poonch Rahul Yadav, SSP Ramesh Angral, ADDC Mohammad Rashid Chowdhary, ASP Adil Hamid, ADC Sheraz ul Haq, officers from Army besides district officers, students of different schools, large gathering were present on the occasion.

DDC unfurled the National Flag at Sports Stadium Poonch and took salute of the March Past consist of contingents of CRPF, JKP, JKAP, Home Guards, Police Commando, NCC Cadets and students of around 20 educational institutions.

DDC informed the gathering about various developmental works which including the completed bunkers, steps to increase the productivity of pecan nut and other cash crops, new courses introduced in District Hospital Poonch, Jal Jeevan Mission and other individual benefit schemes.

DLSA also celebrated Republic Day at District Court Complex. Madan Lal Chairman DLSA Poonch (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) unfurled the National Flag.

AT RAJOURI: In connection with celebrations of 71st Republic-Day, functions were held across the District with great enthusiasm.

The main function was held at District Police Line where Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh unfurled the national flag and took the salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JK Police, JKAP, CRPF, Ladies Police, Forest Protection Force, NCC cadets and students from different schools.

Senior officers of civil administration, Police and Paramilitary Forces besides large gathering of people attended the function.

Deputy Commissioner highlighted various developmental works undertaken in the District. He said district administration is making all-out efforts to provide better civic facilities to the people, besides ensuring efficient public delivery system across the valley. He said various initiatives have been taken to make administration accountable, transparent and time-bound so that people do not face any difficulty.

AT KATHUA: To celebrate 71st Republic Day a mega function was held at Sports Stadium, Kathua.

Deputy Commissioner, O P Bhagat unfurled the National Flag and took salute at march past comprising of 46 contingents from Police, CRPF, Police Training School, NCC and students from various government/private schools besides pipers.

The DC said India is the biggest democracy of the world and brotherhood, communal harmony and tolerance are its key attributes. He said India is emerging power having fast growing economy which is now making its mark in space and other fields of science.

SSP Shridhar Patil, ADC Atul Gupta, ASP Ramnish Gupta, ACD Sukhpal Singh, ACR Joginder Paul, DSWO Abdul Rahim, District Officers, prominent citizens, and large number of people and students were present on the occasion.

Republic Day celebrations were also held at Billawar, Hiranagar, Bani and Basohli.

AT RAMBAN: Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and traditional zeal at District Police Line. The District Development Commissioner Nazim Zai Khan unfurled the national flag.

SSP Anita Sharma, SSP Traffic J.S Johar, ADDC Nawab Din, ADC Ashok Kumar, CPO Kasturi Lal, senior officers of armed forces and a large number of people attended the function.

DDC took the salute from 20 contingents including CISF, JKP, IRP, CRPF, Civil Defence, FPF, Army Band, NCC and the local school students.

DDC prominently appreciated the public of Ramban for maintaining peace, communal harmony and brotherhood in the district in every situation and assured their full cooperation for the same.

AT REASI: Enthusiastic celebrations of 71st Republic Day held at Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium. Deputy Commissioner Indu Kanwal Chib hoisted the tricolour on the occasion.

30 squads, including those of J&K Police, J&K Home Guards, CRPF, Indian Reserve Police, NCC cadets and local schools paraded before the Deputy Commissioner.

In her address, the DC called upon all to set personal goals toward nation building. She stressed on the need to fulfil fundamental duties, punctuality and paying taxes.

AT UDHAMPUR: The 71st Republic day was celebrated in the premises of Government PG College, Boys Udhampur wherein Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Dr. Piyush Singla was the chief guest who hoisted the National flag and took salute at an impressive march past of 35 contingents drawn from CRPF, SKPA, Volunteers Home Guards, District Police, NCC, Flag troops, Civil Scots from different educational Institutions besides Police Band, took part in this national function.

While addressing the gathering, DDC said that government is making earnest efforts to provide basic facilities such as electricity, water, health, employment, roads etc to all the people of the UT. He highlighted the major projects and achievements of district Udhampur.

AT DODA: The 71st Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and national spirit at Sports Stadium wherein the Deputy Commissioner Dr Sagar D Doifode unfurled the tricolour and took salute of the march past of contingents from JKP, CRPF,SSB, JKAP, JKP, FPF,NCC Jr, Home Guard and scores of students from GDC Doda besides various schools of the district.

Advisor Khan unfurls national flag, says steps afoot to usher UT into a new era of progress, prosperity

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 26, 2020: In connection with the celebration of 71ST Republic-Day, functions were held across Kashmir Division with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor today.

The main function was held at SK Cricket Stadium Sonwar in Srinagar where Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan unfurled national flag and took salute at the march past presented by contingents of JK Police, JKAP, ITBP, BSF, CRPF, Fire & Emergency Services, Forest Protection Force, NCC cadets and students.

Among others, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary, other civil and police officers and a large gathering of people attended the function.

Addressing the gathering, Advisor Khan paid rich tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar who gave this country a constitution which guarantees rights to every citizen without discrimination of caste, colour, region or religion and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for country’s sovereignty.

He said introduction of Back to Village program, a unique mechanism to register and address public grievances at people’s door step, witnessed a huge public participation and the officers of the civil administration reached out to every corner of the UT. Under the programme, he said, a number of developmental projects have been taken up, some have been completed while others are nearing completion.

To strengthen the democracy at the grassroot level and to involve people in decision making for developmental process, he said, Panchayat election were conducted across Jammu and Kashmir but the highlight of 2019 was holding of the first ever Block level Development Committee Elections.

Hailing Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, for exhibiting keenness in the development and progress of Jammu and Kashmir, the Advisor said the central government has taken a slew of measures in this regard.

He said under Social Welfare sector, various initiatives have been taken including grant of old-age pension to 1,34,000 beneficiaries while 1,70,000 more beneficiaries are also being covered. While under Marriage assistance scheme, 3,200 girls were provided financial support for their marriage and the money was directly deposited in their bank accounts.

The Advisor said that to augment health services, five new medical colleges have been established in Kashmir division, taking the intake capacity to 900 seats, which was earlier 450. The step would go a long way in resolving the issue of dearth of doctors in health institutions in the Kashmir division, he added.

Advisor Khan said that government is keen to develop sports infrastructure to provide platform to youth so that they can showcase their talent at national and international level. For this purpose stadia and playfields are being developed across Jammu and Kashmir at Panchayat and district level.

In this regard, MA Stadium, Jammu has been developed of international level and Bakshi stadium, Srinagar is also being developed as world class football stadium.

He said Agriculture and Horticulture sectors, being the backbone of our economy are being developed by way of introducing various schemes including High Density Plantation and Market Intervention Scheme and the divisional administration is making every effort to address the grievances of the growers and farmers.

He said that the divisional administration reached out to the fruit growers whose orchards were damaged in the November 7 heavy snowfall. The damage assessment has been completed and the government will soon compensate the growers for their loss.

With regard to the Education sector, he said, various measures are afoot to take Jammu and Kashmir’s educational setup to such a level that no students will feel need to go outside for higher studies.

On the occasion, Advisor Khan lauded the efforts of concerned authorities for timely clearance of snow and restoration of traffic on Jammu-Srinagar national highway, thus avoiding shortage of essential commodities in the Valley. He praised the efforts of Power Development Department for quick restoration of electricity post November 7 snowfall.

He hailed the police department for maintaining peace in Jammu and Kashmir and lauded the efforts of the people who are working for peace and prosperity of the UT.

The Advisor hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his keenness in ushering Jammu and Kashmir into a new era of progress and prosperity. He said the visit of 36 Union Minister to Jammu and Kashmir was a first step in this regard. He said that these ministers besides inaugurating and laying foundation stone of various developmental projects, reached out to people and assured them of peace and prosperity.

The highlight of the even was an enthralling cultural programme organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations in collaboration with JK Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Education & Youth Services Departments.

Later, Advisor Khan awarded Basketball player, Ishrat Akhter who represented the country in Thailand recently. Awards were also given to the best cultural performance and best march past.

71st Republic Day celebrated across Kashmir Division

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 26, 2020: Like other parts of the country, 71st Republic-Day functions were held across Kashmir Division with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.

AT KULGAM, the main function was held at District police lines Kulgam where District Development Commissioner, Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, hoisted the National flag and took salute at the March past presented by the contingents of CRPF, JKP, JKP ladies police group, SSB, Home guard, fresh recruits, NCC cadets and school children.

Cultural programs and Martial Arts were presented on the occasion.

District Development Commissioner, highlighted developmental activities and achievements of district, on the occasion.

He said that work on various developmental projects is apace including 25 mega languishing projects will be completed by this March.

Besides Rs 25.13 crore under PM-KISAN have been disbursed among beneficiaries through DBT mode while under PMMVY, Rs 1.68 crore were disbursed among pregnant women’s in the district.

All the panchayts were covered under prestigious Back to Village program and work on various projected works is in progress and several work projects have been completed.

SSP Kulgam, Gurinderpaul Singh, ADDC, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi, ADC, Shabir Hussain Bhat, Commandant CRPF 18th BTN, Garau Singh , other civil and police officers besides members of PRI’s and locals participated in the event.

AT SHOPIAN, the main function was held at District Police Lines (DPL) Shopian where Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner Shopian Chaudhary Mohammad Yaseen hoisted National flag and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of CRPF, JKP, Home Guard, Fire and Emergency Services, Forest Protection Force and school students.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Senior Officers of Army, CRPF, district & sectoral officers and engineers of all the departments were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of the day and also presented a detailed report on developments registered in the district. He said that Zainapora Bridge atRs 3.98 Crore, Gujjar & Bakarwal Hostel Shopian at Rs 3.17 Crore and Reshnagri Bridge at Rs16.50 Crore have been completed.

While under Market Intervention Scheme (2019-20) as many as 4.217 lac apple boxes worthRs30.10 Crore were dispatched outside UT.

Eight room Lecture Hall in Govt. Degree College, Shopian has been completed at an expenditure of Rs5.35 Crore and Auditorium Block at Degree College, Shopian coming up at Rs 7.12 crore is nearing completion.

The work on 44 – Languishing projects coming up at Rs70.84 Crore is in full swing. Besides 95 works including 28 Bore wells coming up at Rs 4.56 crore are under progress under Back to Village program and 79 road projects under various schemes are in progress at Rs176.11 crore.

The Jal Jeevan Mission (Har Ghar Nul) will provide tape water to ever House hold by June 2020 while under Pradhan Mantri Development Package (PMDP-Urban) - 10 MVA Receiving Station near District Administrative Complex Shopianare nearing completion &will be commissioned soon. Work on 12PHC and NTPHC buildings is also apace.

A colorful Cultural programs were presented by the students on the occasion.

Later, DC distributed cash prizes and awards among the meritorious students.

The day was also celebrated at Zainapora and tehsil headquarters.

AT BANDIPORA: The main function was held at SK Stadium Bandipora where Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza unfurled the flag and inspected the parade.

SSP, Bandipora, Rahul Malik, ADC, Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Joint Director, Planning, Imtiyaz Ahmad, officers of civil administration, police, army, besides Panchayat representatives were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, the DC Bandipora highlighted the importance of the day and highlighted the achievements registered in the district.

He said that the Patushai Grid station will soon be commissioned to end the power crisis in the district.

Besides work on other developmental projects including District Hospital, TRC Saderkoot, Polytechnic College complex, Arin-Bapora bridge and Gujjar and Bakerwal Hostel is apace and will be completed by the end of the year.

He said to celebrate the birth of girl child and to ensure her education, good health and to generate awareness about the importance of girl child in society, the district administration celebrated Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Week earlier this year and constituted a group of 151 Lady Ambassadors who visited 151 Panchayats of the district to highlight rights of girl child.

DC Bandipora said the district administration also felicitated 46 meritorious female students with Appreciation Certificates and Cash Prize of Rs 2.20 Lakh.

DC said under PMAY, Rs 24 Crore has been provided to 611 beneficiaries in the district in urban areas. He said the Social Welfare department is providing old age pension to 4000 beneficiaries and has also provided marriage assistance of Rs 1 crore approximately among 240 beneficiaries. He said the Department of labour has also provided an education assistance of Rs 4.34 Cr to the children of laborers under various schemes during the current year.

Later the Deputy Commissioner felicitated the meritorious students of 10th and 12th class besides several officers for their exceptional performance.

Similar programs were also held at Sub-Divisional level in Gurez and Sumbal, where Chief Guests unfurled the national flag and took salute on the march past. Colourful cultural programmes were presented by School Children.

AT BUDGAM: The main function was held at Sports Stadium where Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganai as chief guest unfurled the national flag and took salute at march past presented by contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Home Guards, NCC and school students.

Among others, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Raja Shujaat Ali, SP Budgam, Amod Ashok Nagpure, ADC Budgam, BDC Chairmen, and senior officers of the district attended the function.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Budgam, said that Rs 234 crore are expanded on 115 languishing projects, the work on which is in full swing. The district administration has setup a robust Grievance redressal mechanism ‘Aawaz-e-Budgam’ where people can register their Grievances 24x7.

On the occasion, a cultural program was presented by school children.

Meanwhile the day was also celebrated at Sub division and Tehsil levels in the district where SDMs and Tehsildars unfurled national flag and took salute at march past.

AT BARAMULLA: the day was celebrated at District Police Lines with District Development Commissioner, Dr GN Itoo as the Chief Guest.

GOC 19 Infantry Division, Major General, JP Singh, DIG North, Suliaman Chowdry, DIG, CRPF, SSP Baramulla, ACR, President, Municipal Council, Baramulla, Civil and Police officers were present on the occasion.

The DDC hoisted the national flag and took salute at March Past, presented by the contingents of District Police, CRPF, Fire & Emergency Service, NCC Cadets and School children.

A colorful cultural programme depicting cultural diversity and heritage of the UT was presented by the school children and artists of DIPR.

Similar functions were also held at Sub-Divisional and Tehsil level across the district.

AT GANDERBAL: the District Development Commissioner, Hashmat Ali Khan unfurled the National Flag, took the salute at the march-past,at Gadoora Stadium, here today.

The march past was presented by the contingents of JKP, BSF, CRPF, PTS Manigam, Sashtra Seema Bal, JKAP, SPOs, Home Guards and school children.

Addressing the gathering, the DDC highlighted the achievements registered under various sectors in the district including education, sports, health, agriculture and social welfare.

He said that measures are apace to develop Ganderbal as a modal health hub and Rs 34.56 crore have been expended, so far, for the new district hospital building which will be completed by this August. Besides, work is apace on construction of several Health Centers including PHC Chattergul, PHC Batwina, PHC Gund, PHC Wakura, PHC Sonamarg and NTPHC Narayanabagh.

He said that the district has registered major achievements under various centrally sponsored schemes including MGNREGA and PMAY.

As many as 2033 works under MGNREGA were taken at Rs 863.42 and 34450 job cards were distributed. Similarly 214 works under PMAY were also completed.

Later prizes were distributed among best performers and meritorious students of the district.

AT ANANTNAG: the main function was held at Government Degree College (Boys) Khanabal, where the Chief Guest, Additional District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Khawaja Nazir Ahmad Qureshi unfurled the national flag and took salute at the March past presented by the contingents of CRPF, IRP, JKP, Women Police, J&K Home Guards, District Police Band (DPL), NCC cadets & school children.

On the occasion the ADDC, Anantnag highlighting the achievements of the district said that work on 126 Languishing Projects coming up at Rs.347 crore is nearing completion.

He said that during Back to Village phase-1 and phase-2, 5652 demands related to power, road connectivity, establishment of Animal Husbandry, Sheep centres, fencing of school premises, setting up of health centres and deployment of adequate doctors and para medical staff in the existing hospitals.

He further said that the construction work on 288 works identified in B2V-1 programme is apace at Rs. 9.54 crore.

The district has registered achievements in other sectors also, he added.

The function was attended by ADDCs, ACR, SEs of PHE, PDD, R&B other district and sectoral officers.

AT KUPWARA: the day was celebrated at District Police Lines Kupwara where Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner (DC),Anshul Garg hoisted the National Flag and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JKP, JK Armed Police, CRPF, IRP, FPF and school children.

Among others, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara, Shriram Ambarker; Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Mohammad Ashraf Bhat; Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Nazir Ahmad Lone; Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Bashir Ahmad Bhat, BDC Chairpersons, civil and police officers attended the function.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner said Rs.9 crore have been spent under Back to Village Programme and other developmental schemes for construction of basic infrastructure in the district. Besides, for augmentation of the power infrastructure Rs.6 crore has also been expended during the current fiscal.

Under health sector, long pending demand of the patients was fulfilled by commissioning Dialysis and CT Scan machines at Sub District Hospital, Kupwara. He added that a medical college is also coming up at Handwara, work on which is apace.

Under Jal-Jeevan Scheme, 1 lakh households of the district are being covered under piped water supply, he added.

He further said that around 8000 people including destitute, widows and specially-abled persons were covered under various social welfare schemes.

A colorful cultural program was presented by artists and school children.

Later, DC distributed prizes among district officers, field functionaries and school children for the best performance in their domain of activity.

Similarly, day was celebrated at District Police Lines Handwara, where Chief Guest, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Nazir Ahmad Mir, hoisted the national flag and took salute at March past presented by the contingents of JKP, JK Armed Police, CRPF, BSF and school children.

On the occasion, school children from different schools presented a variety of cultural programs.

Republic Day was also celebrated at Border Sub Division, Karnah, where Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Karnah, Dr. Bilal Mohiddin hoisted the National Flag and took salute at March past.

AT PULWAMA: the main function was held at District Police Lines Pulwama, during which Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer unfurled the National Flag and took salute at march past presented by the contingents of Police, CRPF, NCC,JKAP ,Home Guard and School Children.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner highlighted achievements registered under various sectors in the district. He said under Jal Jeevan Mission work on 210 water supply Schemes is apace to provide Tap water to all households. While 200 Km road length has been macadamized and upgraded by R&B and PMGSY in the district and Rs 35 crore disbursed through DBT mode to 29,000 beneficiaries under various social Welfare schemes.

DC said that mega project like AIIMSis being constructed in Pulwama .While describing the Upcoming Sirnoo maternity Hospital and Medcity at Lelhar, Pulwama, Deputy Commissioner said that this would boost medical tourism in the District. He further said that in Rajpora, Awantipora and Kakapora degree colleges are also coming up.

To boost agri sector, he said, Bangund village has been adopted as model organic farming village which produces 1200 MT of vegetables in 400 kanals having 72 cluster members.

He said the two indoor stadia are being constructed and flood lights installed at Sports stadium Pulwama while Rs 350 crore are being expended for completion of languishing Project to augment developmental infra.

He added, that under the National Saffron Mission, introduced during 2010-11, at an estimated cost of Rs 400 crore, as many as 3715 hectares of saffron land was proposed to be rejuvenated out of which 1919.35 hectares have been covered so far.

Hailing the establishment of Spice Park at Dusoo, Deputy Commissioner said that the park would not only boost the export of saffron but would also be a major tourist attraction.

On the occasion Cultural program and martial arts were presented by Artists and School Children. The highlight of the program was display of departmental tableaux.

J&K Housing Board organises awareness programme under ANGIKAAR campaign

JAMMU JANUARY 26: The J&K Housing Board, State Nodal Agency, for implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Housing for All (Urban) Mission today organised an awareness programme under the ANGIKAAR campaign as part of the 71st Republic Day Celebrations for the beneficiaries of the Housing for all Scheme .

Managing Director, J&K Housing Board Arvind Kotwal and Corporator, Ward No 51 Jammu Municipal Corporation, Raj Kumar were chief guest on the occasion.

Managing Director highlighted the purpose of ANGIKAAR and said that the campaign envisages promotion and awareness generation among the beneficiaries of PMAY urban mission with respect to conservation of environment by planting trees, desisting from single use of plastic, use of energy efficient lights (LED), Segregation of Waste - wet waste in green bin & dry waste in blue bin, to keep environment clean for healthy living. The campaign also aims to bring the beneficiaries under the fold of other Central Schemes such as use of LPG - its clean cooking fuel under Ujjwala and avail benefit of Ayushman Bharat Scheme and achieve the objective for engaging communities for a healthier and happier living by working towards social and environmental goals.

The pledge was also administered to the beneficiaries regarding the ANGIKAAR campaign to achieve the convergence and embracing the change to promote a peaceful, harmonious and cohesive living amongst communities to sustain natural habitat.

During the programme Managing Director and Corporator handed over the symbolic keys to the beneficiaries who have completed their houses under PMAY Urban Mission and also distributed plants among the beneficiaries.

Later, Managing Director along with the concerned officers also inspected few under construction houses of beneficiaries and planted trees there.

Among others the programme was attended by Madan Lal, Director Finance, Avleen Kaur, Collector, Yogesh Sharma, Sr. Programmer, Firduos Ah.
