 Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that better strategy would be adopted in this fight against Naxalites. Chief Minister reached Basaguda CRPF Camp in Bijapur today and discussed about the current situation with CRPF and State Police Force officers and jawans. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present on the occasion. Everyone present at the camp observed two-minute silence and paid tribute to the jawans martyred in the Naxalite incident in Bijapur.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel while addressing the security forces personnel at Basaguda CRPF Camp in Bijapur district said that the sacrifice of our jawans will not go in vain. Our jawans have fought the Naxalites with indomitable courage and bravery, causing great damage to the Naxalites. We are proud of their martyrdom. Mr. Baghel said that the ongoing battle against Naxalites will be fought with better strategy. He added that the development works in the remote and border areas of Bijapur-Sukma should be completed as priority. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah boosted morale of the security forces personnel at the camp.

Meanwhile, Senior Security Advisor to Government of India, Mr. K. Vijay Kumar, Union Home Secretary Mr. A.K. Bhalla, Director General of Police of Chhattisgarh Mr. DM Avasthi, Director General of CRPF Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Director IB Mr. Arvind Kumar, Special Director General of Police of Chhattisgarh Naxal Operation Mr. Ashok Juneja were present.

Jawans braved the naxal attack valiantly

Development works in the areas to be further paced up

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said than the anti-naxal operation would be continued till the naxalites are complete uprooted from the state. Camps would be established in the naxal-affected areas at a rapid pace and the development works in the area would also be accelerated.

Chief Minister paid tribute to the martyred personnel of security forces in Jagdalpur. At the high-level meeting held to discuss this incident, Chief Minister said that I salute the martyr jawans and their sacrifice. I empathize with their grief-stricken family members. Our jawans valiantly braved the naxalites, causing them a heavy damage. He said that new camps are being established in the area, because of which naxalites are panicking. The area of naxalite dominance is shrinking rapidly. It is the first time when we have entered the den of naxalites. Central Government and State Government will be work together to speed up the development works in the areas. Efforts are being made to improve connectivity through construction of roads and to extend the benefits of the schemes to the interior areas, said Chief Minister. He said that meaningful discussions have been held in this regard in the meeting and he is hopeful that the Central Government will take appropriate action on our demands.
