Wed, May 17, 2023 Hollywood: The Reigning Queen Mikala McGhee Miss Missouri USA 2022 will crown her successor the winner in 26 contestants, as new Miss Missouri USA 2023 at the end of Grand Finale in The Mansion Theatre for the Performing Arts at Expressway Lane, Branson on Sunday, May 21, 2023 starting at 7pm CDT. The Official Host Hotel is set as Thousand Hills Resort Hotel, Wildwood Drive, Branson.

The organization has set the Online Voting People’s Choice Award at URL http://missmissouriusa.com/mousa2023 where anyone can cast vote just for $5 per vote to win the favorite contestant to enter directly in “a guaranteed spot in the Miss Missouri USA® Semi-Finals.” The deadline to vote is Sunday, May 21, 2023 till 10:00am. This year Missouri is waiting its 2nd Miss USA Crown after 19 Years when the 1st Miss USA 2004 Shandi Finnessey won the crown at the 53rd Miss USA 2004 pageant at the end of Grand Finale in the Dolby Theatre Hollywood, California on Monday, April 12, 2004.

Shandi Finnessey is the Only Missourian who also won as the 1st Runner-up Miss Universe 2004 title against 79 Contestants at the end of Grand Finale in the Centro de Convenciones CEMEXPO in Quito, Ecuador on Tuesday, June 1, 2004

Missouri state preliminary Miss Missouri USA pageant has achieved 26 placements during past years at Miss USA Competition including Carolyn Carlew 2nd Runner-up Miss USA 1952 at the end of Grand Finale in inaugural year in the Long Beach Municipal Auditorium, California on Friday, June 27, 1952.

Miss St. Louis Mikala McGhee herself was crowned as Miss Missouri USA 2022 by Joye Forrest Miss Missouri USA 2021 and Miss Spanish Lake when she won over 32 contestants at the end of Grand Finale in The Mansion Theatre for the Performing Arts in Branson, Missouri on Sunday, May 1, 2022. Mikala competed at the 1st Miss USA 2022 stage representing her MO State and emerged winner as TOP 16 Miss USA 2022.
