The simple nomenclature of Veterinary University Training and Research Centers will now be called 'Pashu Vigyan Kendra'
Jaipur, 20 January The Veterinary University Training and Research Center (VUTRC), established to provide animal husbandry training in a scientific manner, will now be known as 'Animal Science Center'.
Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Lalchand Kataria informed that under the State of Rajasthan Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (Rajuvas), Bikaner, for scientific animal husbandry training in the state, Bakalia (Nagaur), Suratgarh (Sriganganagar), Kumher (Bharatpur), Dungarpur, Tonk, VUTRC centers are approved in Churu, Baujunda (Chittorgarh), Kota, Sirohi, Dholpur, Lunkaransar (Bikaner), Jodhpur, Jhunjhunu, Jalore and Jhalawar. The main objective of these centers is to provide scientific training, advisory services, technology transfer and animal disease diagnosis services at the district level.
Mr. Kataria said that the name VUTRC has not been able to make a mark on the words of common farmers and cattle rearers due to some difficulty in speech, so there was a need to name it briefly and easily. Keeping this in view, they have been named "Animal Science Center" on the lines of Krishi Vigyan Kendra. It will be very practical and simple and effective in public speaking. This nomenclature is an inspiration for advanced and scientific animal husbandry, which makes the center realize the larger objectives. It will also help in increasing the popularity of the center among the people. He informed that the state government has made a provision of a budget amount of Rs. 3 crore 31 lakh from the state head for smooth operation and development of these centers.
Mr. Kataria expressed the hope that with the approval of the State Government, the objectives of the Center will also be reflected automatically. For animal welfare in the state, this dimension of the state government and the university will be more effective, as well as the purpose of animal welfare of the state government.
