Health and Family Welfare Department of Chhattisgarh Government issues order in the context
People are requested to wear masks, follow social and physical distancing, and to wash their hands every now and then to prevent the spread of infection

Chhattisgarh Government has taken a major decision to prevent spreading of COVID-19. In the same sequence, the Government has decided to impose fine of Rs 500 on people found in public places without mask or face cover. State Government's Health and Family Welfare Department has issued an order to amend the notification issued earlier under the Epidemic Diseases Act-1897: - as per the amendment, fine of Rs 500 will now be imposed on people found in public places without masks or face cover. In view of the rising number of cases in the state, the penalty for not wearing mask in public has been increased from Rs 100 to Rs 500.
In order to prevent spreading of COVID-19 infection, people have been re-appealed to not to leave their homes without wearing masks, and to strictly following social and physical distancing, and also wash hands with soap frequently.
