Raipur, 17 August 2020  Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has condoled the death of world-renowned classical singer Pandit Jasraj. In his condolence message, the Chief Minister has said that Pandit Jasraj has not only carried forward the tradition of classical music but has also brought laurels to the world stage of India with his singing. Khayal style singing has been a feature of Pandit Jasraj. He said that Pandit Jasraj composed a unique jugalbandi, known as Jasrangi in the world of classical singing. His death has caused irreparable damage to the Indian classical music world. The Chief Minister has prayed to God to grant peace to his soul and to the bereaved families to bear the grief.
