The efforts made by the state government in the last two years for the development of Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel in Chhattisgarh are being consistently appreciated at the national level. During this time, the state government provided houses to the poor, saving rain and ground water, empowering panchayats, innovating in education, ensuring sanitation, eliminating malnutrition, rapid development of backward areas, producing the most food grains, Achievements in many areas including providing employment under MNREGA and Aajeevika Mission, effective implementation of child related schemes, implementing Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, encouraging daughters to education.

The state has been awarded for these achievements. Recently, the Government of India has announced the award, praising the 'More land more houses' model being operated in Chhattisgarh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). The award will be presented to Chhattisgarh in a virtual ceremony on 01 January 2021 by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. Thus, during these two years, the state has received more than two dozen awards from the central government and various social organizations.

It has been appreciated by the Government of India congratulating on the better implementation of the peacock land, the inclusive model peacock land of Chhattisgarh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). Along with this, it has also been announced to award Dongargarh in the category of best performing municipalities. Earlier, Bilaspur district was selected for National Water Award 2019 for Bilaspur and Surajpur district for water conservation works for the work done for the restoration of river-drains.

Under the Swachh Survekshan 2020 conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, Chhattisgarh beat the big states of the country and received the award for being the cleanest state in the country. Similarly, Chhattisgarh received the second prize under the Dirt-Free India Campaign of Union Water Power Ministry for the most ODF Plus village.

Chhattisgarh government's ambitious Suraji village scheme and other flagship schemes have been prepared for monitoring - Chief Minister Darpan website and mobile app has been awarded "Elites Excellence Awards-2020" at national level. Chhattisgarh was awarded this honor by the country's prestigious IT institute Elites Technomedia, New Delhi under the 'Digital India initiative'.

Chhattisgarh was selected for the e-Panchayat Award by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India for empowerment of Panchayats and effective use of ICT - Information & Communication Technology in implementing departmental schemes. Chhattisgarh stood second in the country in the use of ICT to bring transparency, efficiency and accountability to the functions of Panchayats.

The Panchayati Raj Ministry of Government of India selected three Gram Panchayats of Chhattisgarh for the National Award for outstanding work in different fields. Kanhabhaira Gram Panchayat of Kawardha Development Block of Kabirdham district was selected for the Bal Mitra Panchayat Award for best implementation of schemes and programs related to children. For effective organizing and empowerment of Gram Sabha, Banacharoda Panchayat of Arang Development Block of Raipur District was awarded the Nanaji Deshmukh National Gaurav Gram Sabha Award, while Bhilai Panchayat of Charama Development Block of Kanker District was selected for Gram Panchayat Development Scheme Award by Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj Gone.

Chhattisgarh School Education Department was awarded the e-Governance Award by Computer Society of India. The Bemetara district received the Swachhta Darpan Award at the beginning of the year 2020. The award was presented by the Government of India, Ministry of Water Power, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), New Delhi. In the month of January 2020 itself, Dantewada out of 115 aspirational districts of the country was awarded the Silver Scotch Award for remarkable achievement in the campaign of nutrition. Chhattisgarh was awarded the Krishi Karman Award by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the highest production of food grains.

Chhattisgarh was awarded 22 awards for outstanding work in MNREGA, Aajeevika Mission, Housing Scheme and PMGSY. The state was awarded nine awards under different categories of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), seven in Manerga (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme), five in National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) and one award for best performance in Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana. These include 13 awards to be given at the state level, three to be given at the district level, one to the development block and four to the gram panchayats. In the general category of Deendayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment, under the National Panchayat Award 2019 by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India, Janpad Panchayat Nagri in Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh and Sahaspur Lohara, Janpad Panchayat in Kabirdham district were awarded the above honors. Kanker district was honored for achieving first place in the state of Chhattisgarh for doing excellent work for the empowerment of panchayats.

Under the National Panchayat Award 2019, 11 district, district and gram panchayats of the state were given national awards. These awards were given to the Panchayats for effective implementation of the schemes and for meaningful organizing of Gram Sabhas and outstanding works. Kutru Gram Panchayat of Bhairamgarh development block of Bijapur district has been selected for the Bal Mitra Gram Panchayat Award for the year 2019 by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India. Kanker district was honored under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) for its outstanding work and significant contribution in the field of cleanliness. The state was awarded the award for finishing second in the ICDS-CAS implementation and capacity building, convergence, behavior change and community mobilization categories. Chhattisgarh also received three awards at district, block and supervisor, Anganwadi worker, Mitanin, ANM level and LS level for leadership and convergence.

Chhattisgarh got the honor of being the cleanest state in the country after getting the first place in the ranking of National Sanitation Survey 2019. Ambikapur city was ranked second nationwide and Bhilai Nagar 11th. Due to better improvement in the field of health and nutrition, Kondagaon district got the first position in the country.

Ranked second in the overall ranking among the aspiring districts across the country.
