Farmers opting for land pooling facility not to pay additional charges for preferential locations

Nagar, June 4, 2020: In a good news for the farmers of the district who had opted for the land pooling facility in the Aerocity, Eco City-2, IT City and Sector-88 and 89 (under GMADA), they won’t have to pay additional charges anymore for the preferential locations. A notification to this effect has been issued by GMADA. The farmers who has deposited money regarding the above locations of the plots, would now get their money back within 3 months from GMADA.

Chandigarh, June 2, 2020: Acceding to the Punjab Government’s proposal in this regard, the Centre on Tuesday agreed to convert the Punjab stretch of Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway into a Greenfield project by providing a direct spur from Nakodar, onward to the five historic towns of Sultanpur Lodhi, Goindwal Sahib, Khadoor Sahib and Tarn Taran, leading up to Amritsar.
