PWD E-category Registration made by 1610 Youth Contractor

1610 youth got registered for contract in E-category: Public Works Minister gave instructions to officers for maximum registration

 Raipur, 8 June 2021 To provide maximum employment opportunities to unemployed youth, Chhattisgarh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, has taken innovative initiative for contract in construction works after 'A', 'B', 'C', 'D' category. Category is started. Under this arrangement, there is a provision to give works worth Rs 50 lakh in a year to the youth contractors registered in E-category. So far, 1610 contractors have been registered against 2187 applications received for registration in E-category in the state. 490 applications are being processed and 87 applications have been withdrawn due to non-eligibility.

    During the departmental review last month, Public Works Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu has directed the officers to register maximum number of people by taking personal interest and following the prescribed criteria for e-category registration. So that people can get work. The purpose of e-category registration is to provide employment to the unemployed at the block level and make full use of local resources.

    Integrated registration in E-category is being done by Chief Engineer (Planning) Office, Chief Engineer, Public Works Department, North Block Sector-19 Nirman Bhawan Nava Raipur. E-category registration is being done for all the graduate unemployed at the block level and for the higher secondary passed youth for the scheduled caste area. The Municipal Corporation boundary area has also been fixed as a registration unit. E-category registration is being done free of cost and on the basis of self-attested documents. The e-category registration system has been implemented in all the construction departments, bodies, divisions and boards of the state government.
