Raipur: Initial preparations for Covid-19 vaccination begin: Chief Secretary reviews preparations

The first meeting of the State Level Steering Committee for successful implementation of Kovid-19 vaccination was organized at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan here today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain.  The Chief Secretary has given all the necessary guidance and guidelines for vaccination of Kovid-19 to reach the immunization workers posted at the field site. They have said that groups should be determined on priority basis for vaccination of Kovid-19 and information should be collected through survey. In order to keep the vaccination medicines safe, he has instructed to identify coldchain points at the field site and list them to the Energy Department. Shri Jain has told the officials of the Energy Department that the availability of electricity at all coldchain points should be ensured continuously and uninterrupted. For this, instructions have been given to make necessary arrangements by inspecting the proposed site. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to set up a control room at the state level to manage adverse effects after vaccination. Specialist doctors will be posted in the state level control room, who will be regularly in the districts.
  Along with the safety of the vaccine, instructions have been given to the Urban Administration Department to take necessary measures to keep the area around the vaccination center infection free. Special instructions have been given to the officers to safely lift the biomedical waste (empty vial of medicine, Shirinj Needle, cotton etc.) after the vaccination from the vaccination centers. Mr. Jain has asked the vaccination workers to train and be in constant contact with them.
