Rajasthan To Deploy Data Analyst for Bima Data Correction

To correct insurance data, Will appoint a data analyst: Minister of Agriculture

Jaipur, 3 March. Agriculture Minister Shri Lalchand Kataria said in the Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday that the work of giving insurance claims for crop coverage under the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme in Pali district has been completed to a great extent. He assured that a data analyst would be appointed soon to monitor the data related to insurance.

Mr. Kataria was replying to the supplementary questions asked in this regard by the MLAs during the Question Hour. He said that the amount of the insurance claim is paid as per the guidelines of the Central Government. The state government also controls this and is monitored by the department. He informed that action is taken by the state government on receiving any complaint.

He informed that 11 thousand 479 policies of 6 thousand 740 farmers have been made in Pali district. This difference is due to the difference of double insurance policy or holdings. He said that the State Government would soon appoint a Data Analyst so that the data would be periodically checked and matched with the data of the Central Government.

Earlier, in a written reply to the original question of MLA Mr. Gyanchand Parikh, Mr. Kataria said that according to the operational guidelines of the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme, the insurance company will have to pay undisclosed insurance claims within a period of 21 days after receiving the yield result Provided that the insurance company has received the state premium and central share.

He said that in Kharif 2019, in Roht tehsil of Pali district, Girdawari was done for 80 revenue villages of 33 Patwar divisions in total. He also laid the details of crop-wise yield loss and actual yield, farmer-wise assessed insurance claims and farmers-wise insurance claims paid in Kharif 2019 under the Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme.

The Agriculture Minister said that due to technical reasons two farmers were not paid, the payment of these two remaining farmers is under process.
