    On the occasion, Minister of Religion Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu said that Rajim Kumbh was renamed as Punni Mela according to the culture of the state in the first cabinet meeting. It will be made better by the suggestion of the people. He congratulated the local fair committee and administration for the success of the fair. He said that he himself enjoyed the program and the local sports. According to the announcement of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, 25 acres fair has been selected. In the coming year, the basic structure of the fair will be developed and the fair will be organized at the new site.

    Revenue Minister Shri Jaisingh Agrawal said that in the last one year, the government has undertaken several development programs. He congratulated and wished for the success of this event. In the fair, confluence of faith, spirituality and culture as well as various conferences were organized. In this, the conference of farmers, tribals, mass marriages was prominent. In this way participation of every section of the society was ensured in this fair. He said that the use of plastic was banned in the fair this year. Chhattisgarhi sports competition was organized daily in the fair. In which 15 types of games were included. Teams of more than 500 Swachhagrahis were deployed for the entire sanitation campaign for the cleanliness of the Mela. Cultural programs of artists of Chhattisgarh culture were performed daily in the fair, in which prominent artists of the state made presentations. An exhibition of government departments has been organized in the fair, in which live demonstration of public welfare schemes has been done. A vigilant arrangement has been made by the police administration for the devotees coming to the fair. Cleanliness and security were also attended by 50 women commanders of the area. This year, more than 5 thousand saints and 4 lakh devotees took a dip of faith in the fair.
