Registration for Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana till 31 October

Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, farmers of the state will be able to register in the Integrated Farmers Portal by 31 October 2021 to take advantage of input assistance under the scheme for selling paddy on support price and for cultivation of Kharif crops.

Raipur, 23 October 2021: Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, earlier the last date for registration was fixed till 30 September, which has been extended to 31 October 2021 under the order issued by the Chhattisgarh Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare Ministry today.

     It may be mentioned here that as per the intention of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the State Government has decided to include all Kharif season crops and horticulture crops under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Keeping this in mind, the registration period has been increased by one month to 31 October 2021 for the convenience of the farmers. It is worth mentioning that with the objective of facilitating the farmers of the state and to ease the process of registration, the government has prepared a unified farmer portal http://kisan.cg.nic.in. In the Integrated Farmer Portal, farmers of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, purchase of paddy at support price, Chief Minister's Plantation Promotion Scheme, Kodo-Kutki, Ragi Procurement Scheme and farmers producing horticulture crops will have to register once to take benefits.

      Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, there is a provision to provide input assistance at the rate of Rs. 9 thousand per acre per year to the farmers producing agricultural and horticultural crops in the Kharif season. In the Kharif year 2020-21, the area in which paddy was cultivated and sold by the farmer at the minimum support price, if that farmer grows aromatic paddy, fortified paddy, other cereals, pulses, oilseeds, horticulture crops or plantations instead of paddy. , then he will be given a grant-in-aid of Rs.10,000 per acre. The input assistance amount will be payable to the farmers doing plantation for the next three years.
