Schools Painting competition organized on Dhamtari Amrit Mahotsav: CEO IAS Priyanka Mahobia

Children of different schools of the district made attractive paintings focused on the rights of MNREGA workers

Dhamtari 02 September 2021: Painting competitions centered on the rights of MGNREGA workers are being organized in various schools of the district on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of India's independence. In the same vein, the children of Kendriya Vidyalaya located in Mujhagan made attractive paintings displaying job card, unemployment allowance, right to plan and prepare list of projects etc. under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. In this, children have the right to get notified wage rate within 15 days, compensation for delay in payment of wages, right to demand work, right to work within five kilometer radius, right to facilities at work place, time bound grievance redressal. The right of social audit of the entire expenditure and the rights of the workers were also shown in the paintings. It is worth mentioning that on the elixir of independence, Collector Shri P.S. Various programs are being organized in the district under the guidance of Elma.

Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Mrs. Priyanka Mahobia said that through painting, children have made people aware of the rights of MNREGA workers.
He said that a total of 15 children from class VI to VIII participated in the painting competition. In this, Kumari Nivedita Vaidya got first position, Kumari Palak Sahu got second and Kumari Kajal got third place in painting. Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat Mujhagan Shri Chandrashekhar Sahu along with Panchgan, other public representatives and villagers were present on this occasion.

Apart from this painting competition was also organized in Middle School Sarangpuri and Parewadih. In which the children enthusiastically participated. Similarly, the students of Middle School located in Gram Panchayat Sarangpuri also participated enthusiastically in the painting competition. In the painting competition held here, Kumari Dharani got first, Kumari Vandana second and Kumari Khushi and Kumari Bina got third place.

On this occasion, Sarpanch Mrs. Padma Sonkar, Deputy Sarpanch Mr. Hanif Khan and other public representatives were present. Prizes were also awarded to the children who placed first, second and third in the competition.
