Tonight I will crown a new Miss Tennessee USA! What a journey this year has been, and today is a culmination of the last 10 years of my life. When I won @misstnteenusa in 2013, I had no idea the trajectory for my life that moment would set into place.
Watching @brennamperkins take on the Miss USA stage instilled a dream in me to do the very same.
While I had my sight set on winning the crown, the road to accomplishing this dream shaped me into the woman I am today. A particular bible verse offered me comfort and a firm foundation to cling to in the waiting.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
His purpose and plan for our lives is so intentional, and oftentimes it is not until reflection we can see how beautiful His timing is. I grew so much into myself and the woman I am today in that season of waiting. On my third attempt, I accomplished my dream of becoming Miss Tennessee USA. It has been the honor of my life getting to serve the state I call my home. I have grown immensely into the women that I am and that I still want to become.
I am so proud to be part of this organization and I am thrilled to welcome in a new young woman to this incredible sisterhood tonight. Thank you Tennessee, for allowing me to serve you this year, you have my heart!
In a couple of hours,she will have her LAST WALK and The Reigning Queen TOP 12 Miss USA 2022, Emily Suttle Miss Tennessee USA 2022 will crown her successor, The Winner in 48 Contestants, New Miss TNUSA 2023 and become Forever Queen!!!
