Collector Mr. K.L. Chauhan reviewed various schemes and programs operated in the district today in a time-limit meeting. Reviewing the programs of Public Health Engineering Department, he said that from next January, the people of Kanker city should work with the goal of providing drinking water from Arvadhan water supply scheme. All other works including testing of drinking water tanks should be completed.
Officers of the urban body and the SDM have been directed by the Collector to take necessary action to provide the Forest Rights Recognition Card to the concerned persons on the construction of houses in the forest land of the urban areas.
Directives have also been given by the beneficiaries of individual forest rights recognition letters to provide 200 days of employment under MNREGA. He also reviewed the progress of the construction CC Road in Kanker city. On this occasion, it was told that CC TV camera will be installed in various places of Kanker city, which will be controlled by the police.
Collector Shri Chauhan also reviewed the Godhan Nyaya Yojana and directed the district CEO to develop Gauthan as a multipurpose activity center and rural industry center.
In view of the arrival of cow dung in Gauthan, instructions were also given to manufacture vermitans in sufficient numbers and to register working women self-help groups.
Regarding the various stages of making vermicompost, the officials also gave detailed information and said that after the formation of vermicompost, the indent for the packet for its packing should be sent to the District Panchayat sufficient time in advance and after the vermicompost is packed, it will be kept for the purpose. Collector Mr. K.L. Using Revenue Book Circular Section 6-4, Chauhan has sanctioned a sum of Rs 4 lakh each for the dependents of the deceased in case of snake bite and death by drowning in the drain.
Four lakh rupees for his nearest heir Surjo in the case of death of 25-year-old Suresh Kumar Netam, resident of village Chanar of Narharpur tehsil, his parents in the case of 13-year-old Akash Sahu of village Junwani died of snake bite Four lakh rupees have been sanctioned for Ramchandra and Smt. Seema Sahu and Rs 4 lakh has been sanctioned for his wife Lalita in the case of 40-year-old Vikram Komra of village Rampur drowning in the drain.
Similarly, in the case of 46-year-old Pierbai, resident of Koretha village of Kanker tehsil, died of snake bite, Rs 4 lakh has been approved for his nearest dependent Asharam Mandavi. The sanctioned amount will be paid through the Tehsildar of the concerned area.
