Rajkot 25 January 2020 Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani attended Vishwa yuva samelan organized at Atmiya university here in Rajkot today. Addressing the Vishwa Yuva Samelan held at Atmiya University under the state level celebration of the 71st Republic Day, Chief Minister Call upon the young generation to be the job giver rather than job seeker.
Shri Rupani added that the Center and the state governments have undertaken various innovative measures to enrich the youth. When Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi  took charge as     a Chief Minister of Gujarat, there were just 9 universities in the state. Only because of  Shri Narendrabhai Modi’s futuristic vision and planning  Today there are around 70 sartorial universities in the state.  More than 1.5 lakh youth have been given government jobs in the state. Gujarat has also implemented the decision of the Central Government to give 10% reservation to General category youth. Education facilities including financial support are also being provided to the youth of this class by the CM Youth Self Help Scheme.
In this Event, arond Rs. 8.31 crores financial assistance was provided under various scheme like Pradhanmantri Mudra Yojana and Vajpayee Bankable Yojana. State and national level winners at various sports such as swimming, athletics, shooting, cricket, para-athletics, cycling were awarded with certificate at the youth convention.

CM inaugurates ‘Handicrafts Exhibition’ on eve of Republic Day

Ahmedabad 25 January 2020: As a part of the 71st Republic Day’s state level celebration function, Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani inaugurated a ‘Handicraft Exhibition’ at Shashtri Maidan in Rajkot on the eve of Republic Day, today.  

After the inauguration, the Chief Minister reviewed the handicrafts articles displayed at the exhibition and praised the arts and artisans.  

It should be noted that Gujarat is famous across India and world for its rich and 
wide varieties in handicrafts such as Patola, Bandhani, embroidery, boutique, artistic weaving, leather works, wooden works, bamboo works, lacquer art, tangaliya, khadi, clay works, and others. 

These handicrafts are giving glimpses and insights into various groups and their unique cultures. They also provide employments and earning opportunities to thousands of artisans. ‘The Handicraft Festival – 2020’ has been organized by Rajkot District Administration. 

The event was also graced by food and civil supply minister Mr. Jayeshbhai Radadiya, Mr. Dhansukhbhai Bhanderi – Chairman of Municipal Finance Board, Rajkot City Mayor Mrs. Binaben Acharya, MLAs – Mr. Arvindbhai Raiyani, Mr. Lakhabhai Sagathiya, District Collector Ms. Remya Mohan, leaders – Kamleshbhai Mirani, Mr. Nitinbhai Bhardwaj, Mrs. Anjaliben Rupani, Additional Resident Collector Mr. Parimal Pandya, Deputy Collector Mr. Siddharth Gadhvi, and others.
