Father Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla and Son Vidya Charan Shukla shares same birh anniversary day 2 August
Raipur, 01 August 2021: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has paid homage to the first Chief Minister of Central Provinces and Berar State and undivided Madhya Pradesh, Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla on his birth anniversary on 2nd August.
Recalling the contribution of late Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla, the Chief Minister said that he played a leading role in the national movements of the Indian freedom struggle. During this time, he served tirelessly through journalism and advocacy along with public awareness in Chhattisgarh. After independence, Pandit Shukla prepared a new ground for development by giving remarkable services as Chief Minister. The Chief Minister said that his teachings as a leader will always pave the way for us to move forward.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has paid homage to former Union Minister Late Shri Vidya Charan Shukla on his birth anniversary on 2nd August. Recalling the contribution made by Mr. Vidyacharan Shukla for the development of Chhattisgarh, Mr. Baghel said that late Mr. Shukla represented Chhattisgarh at the center for many years, his contribution for the development of Chhattisgarh can never be forgotten. As a Minister of the Government of India, he held important responsibilities in the Ministries of Communications, Home, Defence, Finance, Planning, External Affairs, Parliamentary Affairs etc. and paved the way for the development of Chhattisgarh along with the country. The Chief Minister said that we have lost many prominent leaders including Pt. Vidya Charan Shukla in the Jhiram Valley Naxalite attack. His martyrdom will always be remembered.
